That can only have been me. Was it this morning that I was yelling at the people getting out of the car without looking? I'm rather embarrassed if you overheard me.
Haha. I was waiting to turn right into Leigham Vale in my <---- mode and you cruised down to the front of the queue opposite and planted yourself nicely at the front of both lanes.
You'd have got away with the yelling incident if you'd kept quiet :) -

Welling (one fgss hill) but been working in 'The High' if you know it. Big block of flats running from Nandos to Kwik Fit. Also worked a lot over the last year in Staplefield Close opp the ghost bike.

on the way to the forum football over clissold park i stopped to consult google maps as i was a little lost and some guy on a dolan track with campy pista wheels, deda stem, drops, no brakes, cleats.. but the rider was wearing trainers stopped to have a chat with me.
after a 5 or so minute chat he said he got his bike for 300 on ebay and lives in hackney..
if i'm honest the bike looked hot and the guy was not someone who you would imagine riding fixed.I saw the same guy and bike outside Tesco on Morning Lane the other day. Agreed, about the bike not really fitting the individual.

i saw you just as you turn right off of oxford street by primark then again at the end of the road by the petrol station near baker street station.
I did a skid but think you might have been round the corner by then. That was me. I was on my way from Wests to St John's Wood.
I would have shouted it earlier but you were too fast for me :-)

Hey man! You mentionned it first in the other thread, but it was funny to see you yesterday evening as I was on my motorbike...
A beautifull scene of love spreading on London's streets, a fixed gear rider shacking hands and talking to a mortorcyclist!Szia!

Luckily it is behind me and out of view. I was sitting in court this morning on a hard wooden bench and noticing how sore and itchy it all was. I fared better than most however. One guy tried out a new saddle (why?) and lost all of the skin off one buttock. He had to withdraw.
-
• #14624
You need to air it, although I'd suggest that court is not the best place to do this. Savlon works well too.
What type of fool does a 5 day, 1000 km event on a new saddle? (Wasn't hippy was it?) ;p
-
• #14625
No, hippy's arse is still lovely and smooth.
My problem came whan I left out a new tub of Assos creme ready to be packed but my wife kindly put it safely away but forgot where. I used Savlon on the ride in its place and that worked well. It's just that the event was so long that even the best precautions were not enough. No lasting damage and my rump will be ready for the rigours of Wessex in a week's time.
Chap with a blue Ribble 753, walking past the Approach Tavern with I think a laundry-drying frame over his shoulder.
