Black charge with powergrips at the bottom of kingsland road, trackstanding at the lights. Was hoping for a race as you sped away but after overtaking you, you didn't catch up again, even after some poker face slowing down to let you get near.

, and exchanged grins with a black courier-looking dude on a lovely red low-pro as he rolled around the bottom end of Brick Lane on sunday.
did he have lots of dreads and a curvy top tube? and white dep v's?
if so i've spotted him loads of times, but last week i followed him for about 5 minutes to get a good look at his bike, and realized it was a SS! which is odd because ive never noticed and brake levers on his handlebars

2 spots, both having very similar bikes, white with a section on the top and down tube (not sure about the seat tube) in purple. One with a TT pad, the other without. Both single speeds (i think not 100%). One was on eversholt st about 20 mins ago, the other on Highgate road.
Also i think i saw Mr lemon on Kentish town Road. If you have a yellow and black rear wheel and yellow on yer handlebars Mr lemon, i be a spottin you.

Sorry, had my headphones in.
No worries, I didn't call out or anything. I was gonna chase after you and say hi but my front brake cable slipped through the caliper when i pulled the lever (it keeps doing that - time for a new brake cable I think) towards the top of Temple Street. Next time!

Slowly but surely I'm getting to know more and more of those on the forum which is a spiffing thing. Apart from "Oi", "wheel-jockey" "hipster" etc., what is the etiquette on spotting a fellow forum member?
Much like the masons, of which I'm also a member*, I think there should be a word that alerts other riders that you are a forum member and not a mentalist.
my suggestions: 1) VBoy (in honour of someone who used to be on the forum); 2)The name of one of those who may have been lost on the road - this way their name lives on and for people who never knew them; or 3) [a better suggestion than mine]
Don't worry, this isn't an aim to start "Kling-on" or anything exclusive, but it is quite obvious that a number of those spotted don't even notice the "spot".
*If you are a mason reading this, I'm from *a different *lodge than you.

It used to be 'do a skid'.
I think we are past the arrospok fiddy dorra thing now - or do people still shout that?

The last time I was with someone that shouted 'Do a skid!' the cyclist in question rode back past us a few minutes later and threw a glass bottle at us...
...maybe he thought he was in Oz?

Guy with a 531 Gazelle road frame reading waiting for Brixton Cycles to open, getting ready to build it fixed, told him to join the forum.

...maybe he thought he was in Oz?And then you shot him in the face.. you know, like we'd do in Oz.
I think thats Effri who survived going under a truck last April, story is over on MT.
