  • It was just a bit weird, my knees feel like they've done hella loads of work, rather than my thigh muscles! I'll get used to it, I'm sure it's far better for me in the long run than that massive gear. Thanks for sorting it out bubba, it's good for me (like vegetables) x
spin for the win. it takes less out of your legs and will increase suppleness of your stroke.

  • hmmm, i never go that way, must have been walking the girl...

    Aye...that you were.

  • dumb cunt, it was green thats why you were stopped.... thats how cross road lights work. x

With the advent of All Green Pedestrian Phases and (often long) intergreen times, I'm afraid that this simple equation no longer applies ... ;)

    twice.

Seeing your reflection in a shop window and then going home for a wank doesn't count.

  • A Hi-viz'd up dude in a white helmet at the traffic lights on Maida Vale/Sutherland Avenue about 5.30, you said Hi, sorry i wasnt more responsive/talkative, had the longest most hungover day in a while and was dreaming of the fag and a cup of tea waiting for me at home!

So yeah, anyway if your on here waves didnt get a good look at your whip, but she looked in far better nick than my beater! :)

  • Whos talking horses?...im talking dogs... ;)

  • Nhatt on the cargo bike, new oxford st. turning onto Tott. Ct. Rd., 2ish would have shouted but I had had a loony taxi driving 4 inches away from my back wheel, no matter how fast I rode, for about 300m.

  • Also about a million couriers, I think there was some union meeting or something I missed where it was decided it was ok to go back to work.

  • a girl on a white frame pink deep v rear. near the royal albert hall going towards High St Ken

then a raw beater outside the RCA with a toptube pad

  • el_squire working behind the bar at south london's famous Sun&Doves.. Nice to see you as ever dude!

I'm relatively new to fixed wheel bikes (had mine about 5 months) and I still don't realise why people have toptube pads, anyone care to tell me?

  • Why else, for the Lolz..
Some think it provides protection, but id never hit my sack on the top tube. I think its also to protect the top tube form hits etc, and to cushion the riders shoulder if being carried.

All of which i picked up from random FG websites, but all seem pretty plausible.
There probably is a real reason.

  • The shoulder one seems like a semi-decent reason, though the shoulder strap on my backpack normally takes care of that.

  • It's for when you chain it up, when you lean the frame against the pole or w/e.

  • I have this touching delusion that it's to keep the bike warm. But really, I think it's so that you don't ding your top tube when you lean it against lamp posts.

  • i like the keeping the bike warm thinking.

  • its to hide the dings underneath ========v=======

  • deaf sod Hippy on the cuntdor at city road, me yelling Hippeh! like some kind of loon much to the amusement of passerbys

  • Jaygee this morning on The Mall. Morning!

  • And to you sir! Thought I saw a glimmer of recognition.

Also Brett on Clapham Common North Side. Not doing what he was told, despite my best Chris Crash impersonation.
