  • as the tape is wrapped helically and tightly around the record head, so you can strap it to a mountain bike going down hill at 30 miles an hour and it will continue to record.

    While it will continue to record, you will still get dropped frames as the tape head bounces around through the rough parts of the trail.

    MiniDV is still the best option, even considering the above.

  • or one of those new cameras that records directly to a P2 memory card in High Def. No moving parts (bar the lens).

    Panasonic something or other, google it.

  • ...if you've got three grand!

  • Kipsy, wouldn't recommend DVD cams, they're not up to much. You can get a greay 3 chip mini DV camera for about £500. Loads better than the DVD cam...
