BRM666
hippy My gf found that you can actually get Natural Confectionary company lollies (not iced lollies you cretins) here. They are made under license from the Aussies, not imported and for once it looks like the English stuck to the recipe coz they don't taste half bad.
Where? That is great news...
I think it was from a Sainsbury's store somewhere out west. Have to ask.

hippy I would put money on the fact I've consumed more sugary goodies than you
Is this a SNACK DOWN SLAMDOWN challenge? you also seem to have some shredded wheat still stuck to your chin from breakfast...

oh and all your chocolate has some orrible 'anti melt' chemical that makes it taste funny and have a weird white coating on it as well...
-

The white coating will happen to all poorly stored chocolate when it heats up and cools down again. You must have been eating dodgy stock from 7-11 stores or something.
waves glorious King Size Cherry Ripe nyer nyer come get some :P

Yeah chocolate here is kinda balls. I had a chomp today. Not the same as a UK chomp I'm afraid. It had biscuit in it??? Different thing altogether.
American chocolate is the worst though.
Fairy bread looks like it was invented by someone with the mental age of about 2. Possibly a two year old.

There's a little super-expensive foody place on the King's Road (few doors down from Waitrose, towards the Chelsea Potter) that quite randomly sells Shapes, Vita Weets, Saladas and Tim Tams... Less expensive than the Covent Gdn place if I remember rightly... My gf is an Ozlander and addicted to the 'lollies' and such...
BTW Lollies?!? THEY'RE CALLED SWEETS!!!! :-P -
• #89
cool. This thread has turned out exactly as planned. Lollies and crap foodstuffs. Just what the guy who started it wanted to know (I'm too lazy to scroll back and have a sieve memory).

I started again a few weeks ago and she said no, but I ignored her and then she didn't mind it when it was longer..
I got more hassle from workmates about it and usually the more hassle I get the less likely I am to change it but in this case I just couldn't be arsed - it's either all shave or no shave. -

Didn't Buff Bill make the comment once that all threads here turn into discussions about beer or food? :)
We are therefore doing well. -

Just been offered a job in Perth, looks like a pretty good package so will likely be making the move over later this year.
Any pointers on decent bike related shops/bars out there?
You've been in UK too long and can no longer remember good food.
