scott not scot This is looking more and more likely that i'm just gonna sell the bags without a name.....direct from me.....word of mouth, reputation based kinda thing....
after all, there's only me doing everything from start to finish,so if i had a whole big website thing i'd end up quoting delivery times of 12 months...it's already up to 1 month now,and that's without a name....hmmm'ang about gaffer - let the dog see the rabbit and all that.
you'll get some colouring in from the designers in a bit - haven't even got me crayons out of the box yet and I'll be surprised if slamm doesn't have a go at it as well

What about just printing a label white with 'Bags' at the bottom.
People can use a marker to name it themselves. -
• #136
already did that for roberto

Ok, my idea is:
"Periodic Cycles".
It means that you can keep the whole menstrual theme for the heavy flow bag(s) and use the "They're bleeding good." slogan. BUT, if, in the future this all takes off really big, you can keep the company name and drop all the menstruation stuff and keep a name that is (IMHO) quite cool.
To me 'Periodic Cycles' conjures up nice ideas of a good steady pedal cadence, wheels going round, that kind of stuff.
And, it'll be funny as fuck for all of us lot who, when you're a global capitalist whore, know that it is a big tampon gag.

IDEA ONE:
[usual caveat about them being works in progress etc.]in one of your responses you mentioned that you wanted something that captured the fun and freedom of when you cycled as a kid
seeing the picture of archie in the bag sparked this one off - You're a house dad right? and that means you can start this bag building enterprise.
logotype is a little visual nod to the shapes that the strapovers make. Strapline is trying to project one of the main features of the bags, from compact compressed to house movingly huge
got two more names and concepts to work up but heres your starter

scott not scot
JOL What about just printing a label white with 'Bags' at the bottom.
People can use a marker to name it themselves.funnily enough i've bean leaning towards just BAG.....simple and to the point.
quite like the idea of leaving a dotted line for the person to fill in their name, then my BAG logo at the end.....like....scotts BAG
hmmm
I quite like the BAG idea. Makes for good conversations. "Hey, what's that bag?" "It's a BAG" "Yeah, no shit, but what make is it?" "It's a BAG" "err, wtf". "BAG BAG". "Shut it"

IDEA 2
play with the SnS thing - people realy looooove your bags , they're a bit special and personal - not mass produced.
strapline plays on the emotive thing but has secondary message of being really comfortable on t'back

how are you gonna get that logo embroidered on cordura? it's pretty high res.

• #145
wayne loving the work, I'd go for the 2nd option so far, liking the logo.
