I'll see if I can get someone to teach my class on Sunday morning. If so then I'm in. I've been meaning to make up for the traffic jam of a BHS ride.

Just realized this falls on the day of the social ride - solution, round trip to get back in time for one :p
Seriously reckon we should leave by about 9:30-10:00 in the morning.

Or shift the ride to Saturday then we can do the social ride on Sunday?

Chatting to a friend who did the Rapha ride - took them eight hours! And they got lost twice.

I own the London A-Z and the Brighton A-Z, so as we are "off the map" for most of the ride we will technically be lost for most of the ride anyway. Does anyone own a compass?

Hey the idea of ride sounds interesting...i probably would go for it :)

Are we not following the L2B charity route? There's plenty of maps for that one surely?
-

I'm considering bailing.
It's not the distance I mind, but the rolling countryside.
Last time I did this ride I was on a geared bike, and I still walked up a few of the hills.
-
• #47
Dude L2B is shitloads easier than those Catford hills, there's only two proper hills! Come on!
What doesn't kill you.. -

As I said, I'm considering.
I'm going to try and get better at climbing - and I'll sort out 'bail to station' routes.
But Turner Hill and Ditchling - Ouch!

Turners is only half the length of Westerham at best - no, definitely less than that...and Ditchling is the only other proper hill, where only 3 or 4 out of 25 of us on the FIxed Gear London ride made it earlier this year. Other than that it's a decent, gently rolling ride.
I know the way, too.
11th of November it is.
Could someone add to calender?
