  • hippy Is the mouldy cellar was loaded with booze?
    Contemplating a change of career..

you wanna come be my slave?

Most likely appalling quality, but some of the bits might be useful if Rapha's too minimalist for you ;)

  • Ain't no Aldi™ in Bethnal Green, we got Lidl™, same shit, I'm guessing this is made by blind orphans in some shit arse **free trade zone. **But hey, what isn't. Certainly not my **Dickies™
    **

  • im way more excited about these

I have big holes in my pockets. My hands stay plenty warm.

  • Just bought 4 of these short sleeve crewe tops - after taking one out of the box it is apparent that they are quality 100% merino - I would go so far as to say they are almost indestinguishable from the Icebreaker Mondo top I bought a few weeks back, only a 1/3rd of the price. Get in!

  • yeah - just picked up a couple for me and the gf - they are VERY good quality merino - a serious bargain thanks for the headsup :)

  • Aldi fusking rocks!

    Panatone for £2.99!

  • Just nipped down before they closed - short sleeve top and long johns for me and a top for the wife. Thanks for the tip. Superfine so they are very thin but they look good quality; merino is merino.

  • The ski socks are excellent vfm. £1.95! Wish I had got a few pairs, a fair bit cheaper than woolly boolies.

  • bookmarked

  • actually fuck it I've got no money.

  • Thanks...for the info...bought the T-shirt and long johns and hand warmers and sports glasses with 3 different lenses....all for not very much.....cheers

  • Great price. I got a couple at the howies sample sale that were still more expensive than these.

  • Cheers - just got the short sleeve and long johns. not much in stock at my local aldi but can vouch for qualiity. bargain.

  • I just got some too, would have liked some more but out of stock.

  • I got myself a Burberry Merino Hooded sweater today for £20 from selfridges sale today.
rrp was something silly like £150
I've been wanting a hooed merino top or something like it for awhile for riding in.

  • Well done Scrapper....

I got a pair of the Aldi hand warmers...great for 20 minutes...not 60.....ok it was very cold...but when put into boiling water to return then into the re-activated state....nothing they stayed as block of rock...so i am returning it to Aldi tomorrow....the merino base layers are brilliant however.....

  • Oh bother, I am being thwarted at every turn. Tried on Sunday, but they were out of stock. Tried buying alternative overpriced merino from Minx, and in between my order failing and trying again, she'd run out of stock. Was going to go to Aldi and try again tonight, but somehow ended up at South drunks instead. Looks like it's going to be a chilly January. :(

  • did the rounds of the Aldi branches today, would cross Tottenham and North Finchley off your list but Seven Kings had a few in stock

  • I'm gonna check the Old Kent rd tmrw

I will so take one women's long-sleeved top (L) off your hands, if you find one. And buy you pints and stuff.

Just checked & they have sold out of both men & women's completely. Someone must have done a sweep on all Aldi stores the day they landed. I did pick up some fleece Thinsulate gloves for £1.80 & they have plenty of them left... very soft & warm inside with a grippy palm & thumb.

S'alright - I bought some (gulp) Assos gloves today. (Stumbled into Condor in a blind, frostbitten frenzy, and didn't notice the label till I got them out of the shop.) But thanks very much for looking!
