I even thought about posting them in the thread where I said dates,
but decided it wouldn't have been right or fair -

I'm a lowest common denominator sort of a wit.
It's actually starting to look less pessimistic over on Metcheck...

Unigeared peoples of London,
Tomorrow's not looking good on the weather front, is it? We should all show up and get what we can out of the day i.e. bike jumble, beers, radical spoke cards, gawping at each other's awesome HHSBs, grass polo (someone suggested?) and generally hangin'... We'll reschedule if it pisses down (it won't cost anyone a penny), let's see what happens demain...
Let's look on the bright side, the gates'll be open at midday, Roberto's bringing vegan cakes and snacks and I'll be rolling up in a pimped '72 VW camper full of sweet prizes... We're an intelligent bunch, I'm sure we'll be able to improvise (or just go down the pub and get battered as fuck)...
Mushy peas out, Joe x -

If BBC weather radar can be trusted, it looks as though the worst of the rain will pass in plenty of time. Will the track dry though?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/weather/rain.shtml -
• #489
It's a fast-drying track (it really is! Designed that way, apparently), so I fucking hope we get a tiny window to race, at least... Bummer otherwise...
-
• #490
raining pretty hard.....i hope it passes...dont think so..
-
• #491
It was designed that way....however it was built a long time ago...it doesn't dry too fast, however the wind will definitely help, and if there's wind with sunny patches it will dry much quicker.
-
• #492
The wind's not up to much today, but it's true that the heavy rain should pass by 11am...
Have to watch out for greasy tyres though if anyone takes their bike onto the infield - that's definitely not going to dry.
