    Add me to this. Really want to compete but have never been anywhere near a track

    Popped up to HH today and chatted to Peter, the main HH man... All we need to do is decide what races we wanna do (nudge, hint) and the HH boys will take care of the rest i.e. organise the programme, tell us what to do/where to go... Which is great,
    I was a bit worried about that part...
    So, flier? Hmmm?

    You'll need to do the induction. There's no way they'll let you onto the track unsupervised without it.

    is the saturday before induction arranged for us(LFGSS) to just turn up? (if so what time)
    do I just paste on this list or or do we need to contact HH?

    You'll need to do the induction. There's no way they'll let you onto the track unsupervised without it.

    Which is the reason why I don't think I can make the trackday now. I can't get time off from the missus to do the Saturday induction. Unless if anyone knows if HH are willing to allow a small number of people to rock up a bit early to do the induction on the day in question?

    Anyway, it's not as if I haven't ridden on the track before. I've done it (only once though admittedly) before round Calshot. But surely if you can ride round there you can ride round anywhere!

    Any ideas teenslain??

    Would love to come along as a spectator. I take there are going to be a group of people going along who'll be watching rather than riding on the day?

    seriously guys, give it a go. come by some monday night if you can, get there c. 530 and they'll induct you. it's not scary, it's awesome fun. if you come along 'to watch' you'll just be wishing you could be out there!

    My bike is not fit for the track - front brake, flats etc.
    If I get there for 5.30 next Monday can I hire a bike and do an induction. I really want to do this

    re bike hire, definitely.
    their hire bikes do the job. i use one when i go for similar reasons to you.
    last week, three did the induction. tonight they did it for one guy... they'd rather induct you than send you home with poor first impressions...

    cool. I will definitely be there next Monday. Providing the weather is good. Things seem to be improving on that front though. First ride in this year, wearing short shorts and no gloves today.

    Right, seeing as there were no objections I'm gonna send Peter at Herne Hill a list of the races we wanna do and he can come back to us with a running order... There'll probably be a short induction beforehand but people should really try and get one before the day so we don't eat into the day's track time too much... Nudge, nudge Weather's lookin' great for Saturday!
