i get ya
there seem to be a few webstores that sell them, but yeah, i'm having trouble finding one that has the full line in all sizes. bargainboards.co.uk seem to do a fair amount of them and for a good price. hotzone do them too, but i think they're germany based and are more expensive than the other one.

you can get them at http://www.cyclechic.co.uk/
They are snowboard specific helmets though so you are gonna sweat your tits off in summer

I called the suppliers and the two places that stock them at the mo at Cyclechic and Velorution. By the looks Cyclechic only stocks the female helmets, but I've just got off the phone to Velorution who were very helpful, and seem to have a pretty decent range. They're emailing me with availability, pricing and the time it'll take to get the extras I want in from the supplier. Also, the UK distributor will update their website soon, and will be selling the whole range from their online store.
@Julio, Yeah, they look pretty sweaty, but you can take out the winter lining in the summer. Also, if it's a real problem, one could get the hardhat version. Not as safe, but more comfortable in heat I guess.
Going to get me the headphone/padding thing too. Looks pretty sweet. I'm getting all illogical and saying if I'm wearing a helmet I can listen to music. A trade-off of safety.

who is the distributor?

Well you could get the hardhat version. ...In my opinion though in summer you are not gonna be comfortable in something which isnt well vented.I've tried riding in a skate lid and it sucks. I dunno, it just seems a bit daft - I would either get a proper helmet or not bother. I think that those Bern ones make you look more silly than if you just got a proper bike helmet.

I've got one of the Bern snowboard helmets that im using at the mo whilst London does a good impression of the arctic.
On the whole im dead chuffed, keeps the bonce nice and toasty - gets a bit too warm after a while but im only going to use it when it's super cold. Can do the 40 min ride to work and it doesn't get uncomfortable. Visibility is fine.
Wouldn't want to use it in even mildly warm conditions as you would sweat like a bad boy in it.
Not sure if id buy one just for the cold tho - i got mine for free anyway =) Still if you snowboard and cycle in the winter then its not a bad choice, imo.
Granted it is only a hard hat (much less legislation to get a hard hat as opposed to a helmet on the market = cheaper but less protection) so wouldn't do a great deal in a big smash. However the other alternative was to ride with a beanie and no helmet...
They were intended for snowboarders and skiers would ride park a lot and whack their head occasionally. A proper helmet would be a bit soft and get damaged easily but protect the noggin from a big stack, a hard hat is literally that...whack it 'softly' and its fine however one big slam and you might come out a bit worse for wear...
If anyone was interested in getting one...Method Snowboard magazine are selling ones for 90Euros go here if you wanna check it out.

I was actually about to post a question regarding helmets, and thought someone had beaten me to it. I will just put it here though.
what sort of helmets do you all wear? (those that wear them that is.) I haven't worn one for years but after my accident think it is probably a good idea. any advice that doesn't include the ones mentioned here?

Most people I've met seem to wear functional cycling helmets if anything at all. I'm liking the look of these Bern ones though, for the discerning hipster.Well you could get the hardhat version. ...In my opinion though in summer you are not gonna be comfortable in something which isnt well vented.I've tried riding in a skate lid and it sucks. I dunno, it just seems a bit daft - I would either get a proper helmet or not bother. I think that those Bern ones make you look more silly than if you just got a proper bike helmet.
Some of the Bern helmets are 12 vented I think, but you're right, it will probably be murderously hot in the summer. However, I have bizarre temperature problems and feel cold most of the time, so it sounds alright.
Also, I am a prick. As a prick I refuse to wear anything I don't think looks alright, and these are the nicest/most acceptable helmets I've seen, and seem sturdy, well made and have sweet extras. Most traditional cycling helmets look awful (personal opinion, of course), and despite them obviously being designed with cycling in mind, I am a prick, and will not wear them. The only reason I'm actually getting a helmet is because my close friends and family are literally begging me to buy one. Even though no-one I ride with has mentioned helmets (it's a pretty heated debate), conventional non-cyclist wisdom seems to say get a fucking lid.

Why don't you just get a £20 helmet and stretch beanie over it?

I have prepared this example...

Because that'd look like a helmet with a beanie on it? Which arguably is more ridiculous than a cycle helmet alone.
Case in point above! Thanks Supersim!

Pumpkin helmets!
"Some people can put juju inside the helmets and when they are worn the victim can either lose consciousness or be struck dumb," passenger Kolawole Aremu told the Daily Trust newspaper.
And this is why sub-saharan Africa is fucked.

I've been wearing a TSG Superlight this winter, dunno if it is actually lighter than any other bmx lid but i don't have any major complaints tho it is gonna be way to hot for summer use.
Seeing as snowboard helmets have already been mentioned, does anyone have any experience of those ribcap protective beanie things?? Some of them don't look to bad, tho they ain't that cheap.

@ hassanr
I don't mind actually buying online, but I am sure as hell not buying safety gear without being certain it's the right size.
Also, the only UK online store I can find doesn't have the whole range ect.
