it's like glastonbury on wheels a good fun cycle through london chatting with a few fellow like minded bikers you only have to do it for an hour or so then as it passes soho dive out and into the jon snow
it's not overly political there are a few hot heads / psudo anarchists who like to think they have the right to do anything while on the ride but on the whole find yourself a good soundsystem to ride behind and party your way round parliament square
fun in my book but then again i don't get out much !! -

i will be down, my first time to - the hole thing of riding really slowly stops me in my tracks but i think the vibe will make up for that.
-

ill be there at about 6/6.30
will see who ever turns up at circle again!
-

damn, i'm gonna do my best to be there! i'm getting a bike tomorrow (i hope): i've been on nyc ones a few times and london as well in the past, although not recently. it's usually a great time, apart from the one mass that was hounded through the streets of nyc by the cops, but that's another story...

Yeah i say we meet at the stone circle, ride for a bit, then head to some form of building that exchanges these wierd pieces of paper that i keep getting from recesses in walls for glasses containing brownish bitter tasting liquid that makes you dizzy.

Bring a 'six for a fiver' from your local corner shop and keep riding...

Ok, having been looking at a couple of the other messages am starting to worry that I may be shunned from the outset.
I didn't build my bike from scratch and it has brakes!!! Will I be spurned from the word go? Or will I have lots of critical eyes being cast over my bike checking out the spec shaking their heads and tutting while I wait nervously to be either shown the door or tobe welcomed witht open arms?
btw it is a custom build by Alf Webb bought at Compton Cycles in Catford

no. nothing of the sort.
As far as i'm concerned, and many others- a front brake is a useful, if not necessary addition in london.
I doubt i'd ride without one, even though i can control my speed now.It sounds nice. Lookin forward to seeing you

As the most frequent(ly annoying) poster, it worries me that people might feel the need to remove brakes to fit in.
I have bikes with two brakes + freewheel, two brakes + fixed, one brake + fixed. Brakes are good. A pox on all those who disagree! May your soft undersides mould like the finest Stilton! -

tsk...kids these days...

Brakes are good.
Learning to regulate your speed using your legs and skids is good, too
Brakes in London = common sense.
People tease each other non stop on this forum, it's all meant in jest.
Ride your bike and have fun!

Less worrying, more riding.
