What the fuck? call himself a graphic design? where did he learn his trade? before he dropped Graphic Design from his GCSE?
he's a fucking amateur!!!
no, not an amateur, he's simply those person who cut out potatoes, paint them and stamp them on piece of paper, and claim he invented them!

For someone who claims to care about/be good at design, his web site is hideous. Also, a person claiming to have done lots of work on accessible web design should probably do better than this: http://wave.webaim.org/report?view=icons&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tony-malone.com%2F2008%2F11%2Ftony-malone.html

wait a minute, is he deaf??? that make so much sense now.

Perhaps he suffers from the very rare pink/white colourblindness? It would explain the site design.

Well, there are two way it work, one is that company/individual didn't want to hire a deaf person to work for them simply because they've no idea how they can 'deal' with them, i.e. talk to them, the limited use of mobile phone etc. as well as your usual discriminatory thinking that they're not as good as a hearing person who can easily deal with phonecall and such (which nowadays, more than 80% of jobs required that).
The other thing is simply the fact he's deaf and he's a graphic designer, it sound very ethic, very 21st century etc. to hire a disablity person to design a company something, it also look good in the company's resume looking very 'equal rights'.
I've already seen it from my mate who is also a graphic designer but end up taking up photography, and he's not great at photography, it's just bog-standard snap that's not exactly unique, yet he managed to photographs a handful of famous people (Tony Blair, Gail Porter, David Walliam, etc.) simply when he approached them, he clearly stated he's a deaf photographer, and if you turn down work for a deaf photographer, you can imagine how easy it is to create a Daily Mail-style headline.
obviously it's quite a fickle line and of course, discriminatory, there are actually deaf people out there that are great at their chosen trade but netherless, I can't help but feel that the fact he's deaf is partily why he's "popular".

If you read his stuff Ed it's more about gender/sexual orientation diversity
where the fun started

of course, I has not heard of Tony Dafoney, (after all his work is pretty unoriginal so no wonder), I'm merely writing what I think, allegedly what has happened.
I just found that topic and been reading it Wayne, quite laughable, I didn't even any comment about his deafness yet the email stated;*The content of certain posts on various threads on your forum probably do go beyond the acceptable boundaries of free speech and legitimate criticism. I am referring to several gratuitous and irrelevant unfarourable references to Tony Malone's deafness and sexual orientation*
is it wrong of me to feel that I'm egible to said such thing simply because I'm also deaf? fuck it, he's just a shit graphic designer. -

Genius!
check out his wikipedia link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Tony_Malone
reason for deletion - Further, according to an email from the subject (OTRS) the article and the sources are incorrect and overstate his role on some projects and he is uncomfortable with having so much of his personal information here

I was told that they weren't making any money and Barry was thinking of retiring. TM gave them an offer on the 'brand' and the site. Barry took the offer - retirement sorted. TM sells Tanner's Hill for £££
That's pretty much what Barrie told my flatmate a year or so ago...

I'll have you ponies know that I have just won a ground-breaking planning appeal case, and was crowned "Motherfucking Emperor of All Things Sunlight and Daylight" by the Queen over a pint or two at lunch, yesterday, in the Fox and Pheasant in Fulham.

Tony is a big fan of the most pretentious and overpriced wheelbuilder in the world....
http://www.michael-ward.net/wheelsets.htm
For 2009 Michael has lined up some excellent wheel-sets. They take their names from the Preseli mountains which surround his wheelshed.
