i think the mk1 looks sweet but prefer it in the 3 door and with the early small tail lights,
i think you should get those pirelli's poweder coated black that would look nice with the green.

Nah, you are all in the wrong country, France is where its at and the 205GTi, the golf became fat and overweight.

+1 to the train not really being a viable alternative.

GF and I have to go up to Manchester in 2 weeks time - it's gonna cost £200 for the pair of us to travel up by train.

don't you find it's extremely funny that it cost more to get from a to b in England, while it cost about.. £100 to get from London to Montpellier back.

What are peoples opinions on the mk V?

205 became 206 which became 207 how do you mean it didn't get fat.
(having said that i've have 2 205's but still love my golf)

mk 5 is a nice car but doesn't have much feedback. the r32 is very nice to drive though and feels amazing. the mk 4 gt tdi is great fun to drive too. (all the rest are fat and slow)
