No record? >>>>>>>>>>
I did a 48.32 if he's having that.

• #2128
Hey, I'm an honest man!
Anyway, I'll figure out Strava and have another go soon. -
• #2129
Where did Fucko go?
Fucko fell over silently in the woods : )
-
• #2130
I believe you really. I'm just jealous.
-
• #2131
Ha. Shall we arrange the Roberts ride sometime in October ?
-
• #2132
There never needed to be proof before, just people start putting links to Strava/GC for their efforts and it escalated from there.
-
• #2133
Yes!
I was thinking about this the other day.
I'll send round some PMs to people on the list. -

4 more laps, no improvement as it was a bit blustery with a headwind from Roehampton to Richmond.
Will give gears an outing next Friday as my spin-fu is seriously lacking (maxing out at ~150rpm currently) and so it's much harder work on the descents than it needs to be. Hoping for ~67 minutes if all goes well.
-
• #2135
I was in richmond this evening too; what bike were you on?
-
• #2136
67 for four laps?
-
• #2138
Ah .. I was there in the evening celebrating opening of Putney bridge on the way home.

Some sort of small insect flew into my eye in Richmond Park yesterday evening, and it felt as though someone had poured acid on my eyeball - Is anybody aware of any insects flying around with small buckets of drain cleaner?
-
• #2140
Looks like some RPR knobhead has taken Steve Irwins KOM on a richmond park lap.
-
• #2141
Fast laps there, Mr Nork.
-
• #2142
1:05:49 F (48x15) my first try will definitely be doing this again on a lighter gear. Anti Clockwise

There are little black flies which can sting like a motherfucker. When they bite me the affected limb swells hugely, so much it actually bruises.
-
• #2144
I don't think this was blackfly - although they are indeed nasty little fuckers.
This felt like a chemical burn - even today my eye is a little blurred.
When I find out what it was, I'll be heading back to eradicate them from the park.
Along with the shriveled cunt that brushed past me in their decrepit shitebox camper van.
Or I may combine the two in one big conflagration conflation.

Another 4 laps but no special time thanks to the headwind from Roehampton to Richmond Gates that grew stronger during my time in the park. Took gears this time, twas lovely freewheeling down the various sections but I'll be back to fixed for the remainder of the month to work on my spinning.
Critical Power graph in Golden Cheetah looks nice, 15-20W off my best (not that that means much) for 3min all the way to 90minutes, and set some new best power figures between 90-110 minutes.

Yes, I've experienced this. By the time I got it out my eye it was just black mush. Having its entire insides emptied out into my eye made it burn for a few days. Probably some nasty germs on it too which wouldn't have helped.
I'm the guy riding round Richmond Park at dusk with shades on for this very reason. -
• #2147
5-a-side off tomorrow night so I'll look to do 3 or 4 laps of RP instead. Must dig out the good lights (and mounting bracket).
-
• #2148
You dont really need a rear light turned on if you have a strong front light on steady (not blink).
I dont see the logic behind blinking lights in dark in RP when the park is closed for traffic.
-
• #2149
Because the police and parks officers still drive around the park?
-
• #2150
I have an LD1100 on the back and tend to set one row to solid and one row to flash everywhere I go.
Front lights are a pair of (battery powered) B&M Ixon IQ. I've had the plod in the park wave me down to tell me that mopeds aren't allowed in the park only to realise I'm a bike and let me carry on. (And no they weren't angled up to dazzle.) Same thing with my old Solidlights XB2 (RIP).
If a bike is ridden and Strava is not on to record it did the ride exist?
Where did Fucko go?
