Dammit how did you figure that out? Can you tell what's my time? http://app.strava.com/activities/46638231
-
• #1779
about 57:45
http://app.strava.com/activities/46638231#z715|1272
For that selection of laps. i.e. 2,3,4 of 1-5.
-
• #1780
Really? That's not good. Thank you for results. What does that numbers mean, after hash tag?
-
• #1781
Yeah, how do you do that?

Sick burn to everyone slower! It is better than respectable.
Looking at the correlation between average and max heart rate I would speculate that you either didn't give absolute full beans or you weren't very fresh when you decided to do it.
Select the data by highlighting that section of the ride on the elevation infographic in Strava. You can then post the url that takes you to the section within the ride.

FFS, when is a good time to go to the park when there are no cars yet daylight?

Mid afternoon on a day that isn't Friday. Monday Tuesday seems pretty good (both mine done Monday afternoons)
-
• #1785
Me, Duke and Ollie attempted this today but obviously it was too full to get it done at any wort of speed so we only managed 1:07 but me and Duke are hitting it next week with more appropriate ratios and at a better time to hopefully get the time down to sub 60 mins.
fixed.
-
• #1786
No drafting!
-
• #1787
? We were riding side by side.
-
• #1788
That still gives aero gains. 1.07 side by side is about equivalent to 1.25 solo.
-
• #1789
So if I did 1:17 solo, that's easily sub hour side by side ;p
-
• #1790
Indra you were ahead at times. Especially on the down hill segments.
-
• #1791
for a while but to be fair I figure riding near each other wouldn't corrupt the times any more than riding near all the other people there.
-
• #1792
Yeah exactly, there were always other people next to or near me even if they weren't duke or Indra
-
• #1793
Looks like it'll be dry but windy tomorrow morning. Anyone want to head down for a few laps about 11/12?
-
• #1794
Had a look at this today tom.
Only managed 56mins. Going backwards! ;) -
• #1795
I just realised I always ride clockwise, is this seen as slower?
-
• #1796
Add it to the list - make it legit.
-
• #1797
Maybe just indra, it depends on the wind as much as anything. Today clockwise would be a few mins faster.
-
• #1798
Fair enough, I just see clockwise as faster because it seems like more of it is slight downhill and that's easier for me fixed with big gearing, only one slightly challenging hill to climb and the rest is really just going downhill.
-
• #1799
I'll try and head there really early this sunday to catch the park quiet and hopefully set a decent time.

Usually because when riding clockwise, you have to give way on the roundabout till it's clear, whether anti-clockwise mean you can stay on the inside and not worry about having to wait.
A very good personal best, 4 minutes off your original.
