  • Been a bit disappointed with the Eurosport highlights. I know its all about the racing but cutting things off without the merest hint of a post race interview or podium lessens the spectacle.. I'd love to see some of the guys who have won this year talking about what their Stage win means to them and their teams.

ITV seems to be doing the better job for a change.

Are Eurosport showing interviews on the live coverage? Or is it case that they don't have a reporter on the ground..

  • if anyone's planning on watching the ride on Leith hill tomorrow, I'll be there and will be camping at the bottom. DM me if i owe you a beer.

  • Thinking about going to the start in Epsom, do you think there'll be masses of people? Ie should we get there for 10am or will we be fine getting in if we arrive at 11:30?

  • madrazo makes me embarrassed to ride a bike

  • He looks like McLovin

  • Good to see Genesis getting in the break and the Volare showing that 953 can match carbon.

  • Bloody steel bands.

  • This is fantastic;

The AnPost campervan would probably fit in the luggage hold of the Movistar/Cannondale/Garmin/Sky bus. It's nice when underdogs win.

Another team riding with heart is Bardiani. Brave or foolish they've added some flair.

Dean Downing of Genesis lost a packet today, DFL.

This - so much. HIs antics on the podium reminded me of everything I've tried to blank from my childhood.

  • Not seen his podium antics but his riding style yesterday made his head look like it had been crudely photochopped onto his body Me Gusta style.

  • Is anyone planning on heading to the final stages this weekend? Do you know what kind of crowds it pulls on the central London stage?

The finish line area gets busy and it can be hard to get a decent position against the barriers but elsewhere it's generally fairly quiet. The u-turn by the Tower is a good viewpoint.

  • We have 192 of the best youth riders from London's clubs racing on Vitoria embankment from 12:00 tomorrow. Your future Cavs, Wiggos and Trotts all in one place.

  • Is there a forum meet-up planned?

    I'm in if there is.

Say what you like but he has been in every break for the past few days. I applaud his guts if nothing else.

  • he does have guts...but this race will be an introduction for many to the world of professional cycling. It is undoubtedly more popular this year than ever, so why do we have to have mclovin jump on stage at the end and do the ear thing then spray someone who doesn't want to be sprayed with champagne, this isn't the Momaco Grand Prix ffs. I propose they deduct him points and give the jersey to Kristian House.

Edit: Actually not Kristian House, he sounds dull

"Kristian House likes: Airports. Audrey Hepburn. Audrey Tatou. Austin TX. Banksy. Borough Market. Bruce Springsteen. Cafe au lait. Classic movies. Coen Brothers. Computers. Crazy Heart. Dolce Vita. Dylan Moran. Echos. Family. Flat caps. Girl’s eyes. Girl’s lips. Girls. Hamilton Pool Rd. iTunes Store. Jelly Beans. Kingpin. LCD soundsystem. Little Creatures Brewery, Perth. Long solo bike rides. Mexican food. Monmouth coffee. Morris Minors. Mums Brownies. Nutella. Oranges that peel easily. Pancakes. Porsche 930 (1979 Minerva Blue). Quinoa Salad from Whole Foods. Road Trips. Sitting through the credits at the movies. Sunshine. Taking photos. The Big Lebowski. The cold spot under the covers. The remote app. The smell of wood burning. Time-lapse video. Tip Records. U2 concerts. Vintage stores. Watching the sun go up…or down. Whiskey. XX. YouTube. Zen."

  • Cav looked almost surprised to get company from Viviani there... Strong comeback though.

  • Cav would have been beaten if Viviani's back wheel wasn't yo-yoing about, but then I guess you could say his bike handling let him down. Still a curious lead out and sprint from Quickstep.

  • We all happy with Cavs line change to cut off Viviani?
I know your allowed one but it seemed a pretty desperate & dangerous move on cobbles.

It was the tour I can't see him getting away with it.

  • What? It wasn't sudden, it didn't cause any danger, he merely moved over. You need your eyes checked if you think that was him cutting off anyone.

  • Looked fair enough to me... it's pro racing.

  • It wasn't a switch, he didn't put him into the fence, it was a totally legit move.

  • Very legit and very clever, as he had to start his sprint too early and Viviani had the momentum. He moved across but left him space, at the same time disrupting Viviani's sprint. As they say in Days of Thunder, he rubbed him, and rubbing, son, is racing.

Long way from a Renshaw headbut

  • And a Renshaw headbutt is a long way from a disqualification in a normal race.

  • Fair enough. Big school rules but Viviani will feel fucked off. I really rate him. Challenged Cav on every sprint. Good showing all season.

    Yes, Very.
