  • would he have done the skidder otherwise?

  • Im moving to Brighton mid August to do a degree in Worthing, just giving a heads up and see whats the best spots to ride and if il be seeing anyone about the town center sort of area?

    Leo

  • didnt know where to post this - but any cats on here ride the critical mass - with the music we can all catch puuure jokes! c'mooooon

  • hi firstlove,

welcome. yes, there are a few of us on here - not too many social things happening at the moment because we all seem to be caught up in serious training / injuries / track racing and more.

other than that, should be a bit more lively by august. the seafront and the undercliff are good rides, and we also ride out over the downs a fair bit. drop us all a line when you're down.

@ digs - i've ridden critical mass here once - unpleasant! not very many riders so the cars were really dangerous

  • i concur - mass was horrible the time i did it, it was a small crowd, there were motorbikers riding straight through the bunch, drivers getting very very angry, plus there were no people handing out flyers so it just looked like a bunch of cyclists going out of their way to annoy drivers. not a message i think cyclists should send out... if it were better organised i'd be down with it. the naked bike ride on the other hand was pure jokes!

  • yep, sod critical mass. unless its one of the super busy summer ones, its not worth it.

hello firstlove, digs, as Max says we're all a bit caught up at the moment. need to sort out some pub time and social rides. even a social ride to a pub!

  • had a lovely ride to Barcombe Mills and the Anchor pub on Monday afternoon...

fifteen miles, lovely roads, river swimming, pimms...

do i sense a plan coming on?

  • sounds good, might be doing the the burgess hill ride http://www.burgesshillbikeride.co.uk/ which is a bit of a 'fun run' bike ride on sunday if anyone fancies it.

And if my ride2work vouchers come through might be going to the evans tent sale on saturday

    I hate you!

  • I hate you!

well let's organise a trip ... bunk off work!

  • happy owner of a kona kapu! so who wants to go on a geared ride this week

  • nice man! was worth the trip then.

  • happy owner of a kona kapu! so who wants to go on a geared ride this week

    yo,

will be gearless from wednesday, as fausto is going by van to geneva.

depending on physio's advice (seeing him tomorrow about my ankle) i may be up for a tuesday evening ride...

can't wait to see the kona tho...

  • "physio's advice" that don't sound good, you done yourself a mischief?

  • tweaked my ankle somehow, moving boxes when moving house i think. not really painful but a bit uncomfortable, and got in the way of my final weekend's training... still, it meant i got nice and drunk at the nocturne! ;-)

  • sorry not been around, managed to dislocate my knee cap, we are the walking wounded at the moment. Mine is not too bad, should be fine by later this week.

  • uh oh! up/down something i'd wager!

    hope it's ok...

  • afternoon ride this week anyone?

  • Im up for friday; but cant do any other days im afraid. Nick; glad to know your ok, seen your bike parked up for a couple of days over the weekend, i didleave you a note on it, but some scroat nicked it!

  • yeah cant get my bike back home, am gonna try and drive down tomorrow and get it, have been checking it every day though. just cant ride it at the moment.

  • i can ride it or drop it back to you if needs be, let me know...

  • nah am riding it again now.
