Happy fricking Friday!

I love that my boss just received a phishing email from "Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP" which promises 2 million quid if he sends his details to "Rt Hon Alistair Darling MP" who can then process his new visa card.
FYI Darling's email address is "alis_darl110@8.am" apparently

I love that I've got into phase 2 of FlyBe's sponsorship programme. Since I could talk I've wanted to be a pilot. I've just got to pass phase 2, 3, and 4.
-
• #1747
Amazing, well done. Competition for pilot sponsorship must be well tough, especially how everyones so desperate for a job at the moment.
What kind of background do you need to be considered? Something related like aeronautics or will anything do?
-
• #1748
It's ridiculously competitive because the costs of training are so prohibitive. Therefore anything that will help you get selected is worth doing. I have a degree in Aerospace Engineering, a degree isn't listed as a requirement but I guarantee all the people who pass phase 4 and get a place on the training scheme and get a job with FlyBe will be graduates.
There are no real tough requirements or specific background. A Level knowledge of Maths and Physics aren't required but recommended, and you don't need any previous flying experience.

that I managed to save enough money to book my mum a ticket to see her mother in Portugal and that I found a bargain flight too. Now can't wait for her to get home and to see her face when I tell her haha
