Direct Debits on a bank statement bearing no relation to what they are.
AUDDIS 922631 what the fuck are you?
I cancel AXA which turns out to be M&S. -

Tell me about it. Or, when a company's trading name is unrelated to the name that turns up on the bank/credit card statement.
I spent how much? Where the fuck is that?! Oh. That dingy bar from 6 weeks ago...

Complain to the DPS and ombudsman.
The deposit should be in a ringfenced account, and is fuck all to do with any new tenants. It is also fuck all to do with the agents, it is the landlord's responsibility.
Was it actually put in a scheme? Do you have the paperwork? -
• #8982
I must have paper work but I've lived here for quite a long time so I have no idea where it is. I did have some doubts about them putting it in the DPS. When they asked me to remind them how much I'd paid. I didn't tell them and asked to speak to someone who knew what they were talking about. They managed to look it up.
I suspect this is all to do with the new member of staff, who seems to think she's in the apprentice. She's all corporate speak and estate agent bollocks. I desperate want to smash her back down to earth and tell her she's just working in a small north London agents renting grotty little shit holes not some fucking New York real estate office selling tower blocks to the Chinese.

Utter, utter cunts the lot of them.
What fucks me off is that they earn more money for less work in London since prices and demand have gone up.
-
• #8985
Fuck them, three times the deposit I think it is if they haven't processed it correctly. Tell them you're disappointed and looking at legal routes and see how quickly they do some work.

Writing instrument instead of pen.
Time piece instead of watch.Ow come on...I know times are hard, but I don't see spades advertised as "horticultural soil displacement tools" or whatever at b&q :)

Workmates that dine on shit sandwiches, AKA halitosis.
Boak.

• #8991
Think they have to give you the deposit from the holding account as that is the whole point of the deposit system. You shouldn't have to chase the new tenants. As said before go to advise bureau / ombudsman. Estate agents letting agents most of them are shite.

that explorer (a self-absorbed middle-aged white male, omg what a fucking surprise) who got lost, came back with Malaria (for the third time - gee, I hope the NHS is picking up that bill... cunt), then got interviewed on R4 Today by his ‘mate’ Frank Gardner who gave him an armchair instead of calling him the timewasting oxygen thief he actually is, enabling the inevitable book, tv series deal to happen when it should be bullet > lime pit.
I feel better now.

Blinky and bright led Christmas lights that are already out and are blinking up my street outside my window. Right outside the bedroom window as a bonus.
They can blink off as far as I'm concerned.

Having the wrong size spare tube when I get a puncture and having to walk home. Actually worse than not having a spare at all.
Estate and letting agents.
Their code of practice seems to minimal possible effort for maximum return.
All I want is my deposit back, they tell us the best route is to cancel the DPS projection so they will return us the money. Now they discovered that might actually involve some effort on their part as they may have to do some paperwork so tell us it's 'best' to just get the deposit back from the new tenants, who should pay it to us and then the agents will change the name on the deposit.
Lazy. Fucking. Cunts.
Every dealing I've had with them is the same. Yoi almost here then say "What'sare minimum we can get away with?"
Thankfully I'm moving into a friend's families property. No middle men to deal with.
