C*nts with attack dogs on the streets. Got threatened by some arsehole today. I normally wouldn't mind. But I had my 18 month-old daughter in my arm at the time. Been eating me up all day, so had to vent on here.

Finally getting away on holiday and both of us are feeling v unwell. Doctor diagnosed bronchitis yesterday. Other half has tonsillitis and ear infection too.

However Wales is fantastic and we are considering booking another holiday here in October. Coed y Brenin is an amazing trail centre, the scenery is stunning, we have found a dog trainer who can look after our dogs during the daytime if we want to get away and we have been taking the hounds to training classes too.

So despite being unwell and not cycling as much as intended the rest is winning.

They are sometimes used inappropriately (I hope miss mouse isn't actually wanting to split every one of them). "One thing leads on to the next.", not "One thing leads onto the next." (unless the one thing is a stairway to the top of the next thing). "Give in to" and "Give into" would mean quite different things. Not forgetting the old joke "Did you hear about the driver who picked up a hitchhiking witch? She touched his knee and he turned into a layby".

CB, I would have been very happy with a spaniel! It looked to be staffy-shaped. But I didn't stick around long enough to find out. The angry Glaswegian holding its chain wasn't overly friendly, being as he was listing the pieces of English anatomy that were to be devoured by his canine.

All that from a toddler pointing and saying 'doggy'. Maybe that's what grandma meant when she said it was rude to point...

People can be fucking weird about their dogs. When I was about 7 I used to play with a dog called Beauty who lived in the street next to mine - she was never in the house, her owner let her out to run around in the streets to entertain herself (this was normal in Scotland at the time, I have no idea if it's still normal now or if it was ever normal elsewhere). She was quite a vicious, snappy dog with people she didn't know, but she was very protective of me as I was part of her pack, if you will.

Anyway, one day I was having a laugh with Beauty outside her owner's house and the owner opened up her window to shout, "ye'd better watch it, if I tell her to go fer ye, she'll go fer ye". At a seven year old! Yeah, ok then, crazy dog owner lady.

I get the feeling that more and more dog owners are quite irresponsible, from cleaning up after their dogs to actually understanding how much exercise a dog needs. Believe it could the link with dogs and status to some. Friend, who live in East London, has a staffie that is daft as a brush, the dog has been bitten three times, over the years, by other dogs who were off the lead in parks while my friends dog was on a lead.

People moaning about "designating parking" (which we don't have where I live BTW) being the ones that are quite happy to plonk their visitors car in "my" space when I'm away for work, knowing full well I'm back after school that day with my wee man. But when my car is there for the whole of 5 minutes cos somebody else is in "my" space, it's a whole massive thing. And it's her daughter so she could say something.

Whereas the people that don't see spots are "theirs" are way more accomodating. At least "audi cunt" has caught on, not sure if it's out of the good will of his heart or if his got the bollocking of his life.
