  • Friday Afternoon Tiredness Syndrome (or FATS). Can I go home now please?

+1 to that, took my lunch hour at 1 but the day is going so slow.

  • cunting 30 minute long flash tutorials (which I have watched more than twice) which don't fucking work.

    fuck fuck fuck arghhhhhhhhhhhh

  • i really really hate the fact that some people cant grasp that they 1) dont need to smear their oyster card all over the sensor for 10 fucking seconds to get the gate to open and 2) that in doing so they force the person behind them to stand and wait like a lemon for the sensor to re-adjust itself - cunts - proper stupid cunts

  • And that is one of the reasons I ride a bicycle.

  • I ride car while eating oysters.

  • People that say 'cheer up'.

Yeah that's gonna fucking work init, why don't you shut up and suck me off, that might 'cheer me up'.

What is worse is when you feel awful (tired, ill, hungover for example) and someone says "you look awful"

Well, thanks i feel awful and you telling me i look awful has really helped me out, thanks a bunch for your kind words, Dick!

  • Having to turn upto work "in smart kit" ... I sit in a corner of an office on my own and write vb scripts all day ... I don't talk to clients and they don't see me ... what is the point?

  • I hate that I had to take my bike into the shop (Evans FFS) this morning cuz some fucker's given my back wheel a good kicking at some point... :|

  • that is dry

  • ^ ouch

    I hate pre-flop raisers

    Why?

  • Camberwell College of Arts.

  • This fucking long distance relationship bollox. Roll on May 13th.

    June 6th for me

  • Why?

Cos it's just a stupid gamble. pocket Aces, King Ace suited, a good pre-flop hand means nothing unless you hit an ace, king, or the suit on the flop. It's macho gesturing, and it forces people into hard folds or big risks. It's a part of the game, and a better player would know how to play them, but it just annoys me. I like to play the odds between 2/3 hands, not 10.

    I feel your pain.

It's not really that stupid of a gamble. If you raise pre-flop with a decent hand you know you're likely to be up against other decent hands if you get called. More often than not you'll get bad hands to fold so people are less likely to suck out on you.

Also, you're setting the tone for the betting later on. You want big pots for your big hands and a pre-flop raise can be a good way of manipulating the betting.

From the POV of someone with a marginal hand facing pre-flop raises, I'd be happy to fold knowing that more often than not I'm throwing away a worse hand that could get me into trouble.

  • What about from the point of view of someone with a good hand facing pre-flop raise. There's too many outs, although I often fold to find I had the better hand. But you right, it's about the long game.

  • if you've got a decent hand then at least you know the range of hands you're up against (although that depends on the quality of player you're up against & the size of raise) and can make a slightly more informed decision about whether or not to fold later if there is a scary flop.
