I go through at least three or four a year in the car, they don't last very long. I had some of those magnetic ones but they don't do data, I gave them to my OH and she lost all the attachments within a couple of days.

Which bit breaks, out of interest? I’m still a Lightning connector user, which I’ve always felt was great compared to micro USB. Has USB C not addressed most or all of the things that were awful about micro USB?

It's shitloads better than micro-usb and mini-USB but my favourite was the Sony's magnetic connectors. You can get USB magmetic "ends" that you add to cables and devices to do the same thing. I was going to do it on the bike but never got around to it.

A magsafe case and wireless chargers is what I use for charging 99% of the time.

Haven't had to pluck any fluff out of the charging port since.

It was my wife’s birthday yesterday. We had to cancel all our plans because we have been wiped out by the flu. My sinuses and face are so swollen that Face ID on my phone doesn’t recognise me. I can’t get comfortable and have waking fever dreams.
