  • Here’s an early interaction of mine with Rogers Golden Syrup

  • Roger must've been furious.

  • I wasn’t in a state to notice

  • Top tip - baby wipes

  • Secondary School Open evenings. Yes you've rolled everything in glitter but what's it really like? How can we make informed decisions from 2hrs of information overload on multiple evenings? Daughter can choose I reckon I'll go with that.

  • My extensive research in this field has yielded just one golden rule:

Don't bother to talk to the teachers. Strike up conversations with the students. They'll tell you far more, and with more honesty.

  • My 13 year old has been doing tours at her school recently. She definitely didn't tell all.

  • I like the sincere route.

I worked with one of those crystal chacha type people who believed in body acidity levels and all that shit.

They were fucking insufferable with all their Paltrowesq suggestions.

Them "Oh you're using Vaseline for your lips"

Me "Yeah it's all I had in my draw and they're a bit dry"

Them "Oh you shouldn't use that because {spurious reasons}, why don't you try this guava oil I got from a sham website that ironically denounces pharma and multinationals for selling bogus shit for inflated prices while copying the same business model."

Take a leaf out of their book.

  • Ridiculous numbers of emails for ordering stuff on the Internet

    We have your order!

    We are packing your order!

Your order is ready to be shipped!

We have handed your parcel to a courier company!

This is your courier company, we have notification of your parcel!

    We picked up your parcel!

Your parcel is at the delivery depot!

Your parcel is on a van and will arrive at 12:23!

    Your parcel was delivered!

(back to original company) Your parcel was delivered!

(courier) Did your delivery driver give you a blow job?

(company) Please give us a 5 star review for doing what we said we would which is surely worth 3 stars since we didn't go above and beyond

I have an account. I can click on the webshite for order updates if I want them.

  • I had one recently where the order was sent in 2 packages so I got double the amount of messages and the guy even called 10 minutes before to check I was going to be home.

  • i hate ‘dudes’ with smart speakers on their bikes. At traffic lights, stopped in a poor area where people are struggling, its like ‘listen to the sounds of my smug self satisfaction: I’m in a good mood and my life is tikady boo, what gives?’
I hate all the smug faces: fucking rein it in you gentrifying cunt

  • I had one recently where the order was sent in 2 packages so I got double the amount of messages

I got this with an online order from Evans Cycles recently. I got 24 emails in total. I wish I'd just gone to the shop tbh.

  • Also, having an email and a text for every step of the journey doesn't help when it apparently gets stuck in "out for delivery" forever. It's happened twice recently.

  • Totally with you on this

  • Damn infuriating and only slightly below the companies that advertise 24hour delivery but take three days to identify the goods in the warehouse and send them to the delivery department to be packaged and put in the out tray.

  • Middle aged musicians in interviews who bang on about there being no originality in modern music and that they decided to step up with their new project to do something about it which then ends up sounding like the most generic possible imitation of whatever genre they've opted to jump into.

  • Royal Mail West Norwood Sorting office have had parts for my new bike for 15 days and haven’t tried to deliver them. I’d love an email or 2

  • I’ll add to this, people from old bands who say “you know back then we didn’t have the internet!” in interviews

  • Everybody loves Bowie. I just feel like you've encapsulated him from about 81 onwards for me 🫤

  • That amazing version of Wild is The Wind was the death knell I reckon. But maybe that was a reflection of the wider music industry as well, everyone was chasing the big bucks in the 80s.

  • Not a Bowie fan tbh…noncey, cold, guy who ripped off his own band.

    I don’t get the adoration

    And then there’s Tin Machine

  • To be fair he did produce a decent album - although since he's here, we should probably ask for @RonAsheton 's perspective.

  • He messed up the production, didn't he?? 🤦‍♂️
