No water ingress that I can see. This unit is a swap out for the 2019 original that had the ‘white spot’ problem. Three years old, maybe?

Wind Chill Factor. Such a meaningless and whining statistic. I want facts not feelings.
-
• #21179
Facts don't care about your feelings sweetheart.

I thought the Apple Watch was just a piece of jewellery to go with your dry robe and massive coffee and of course to record world record pace “jogs” round the park

Mostly on your side with this, when it's -30 with a 60kph wind, those two factors are enough to calculate how much I'll be suffering. 'Feels like' can vary tremendously, not only between different people but whether you're with or against the wind, in slight shelter et cetera.

Let people enjoy things!
I am probably going to get another Garmin, mebs a s/h better-than-Vivoactive-3 model.
(but I really do like that feature on the Watch. It used to annoy me that the Garmin didn’t automatically track activities)

Modern cooking shows.
It's been ages since I watched one that wasn't Ready Steady.
I'm at my folks and my eldest woke up insanely early and asked for a cooking program as apparently he needs to learn to be a chef. Only had iplayer at my disposal. The first two I chose were almost an hour and had FA cooking. Just a load of gash chat and interviews.
Going to sound all grumpy old man, but there was some grime comedian dude who got a bit of pre-cooked chicken, put it on a professional grill, charred, and put nandos sauce on. Wtf.
The whole saga was exemplified by my kid saying; "daddy I don't like this but I've got to watch it to learn how to be a chef. A bit like the way you don't like work but have to do it."

Do you have a strange version of iPlayer without MasterChef?
-
• #21185
Was about to say, currently working through masterchef the professionals and it's all cooking!

"daddy I don't like this but I've got to watch it to learn how to be a chef. A bit like the way you don't like work but have to do it."
I've recently been trying to prepare my kid for the horrors of adulthood by bribing her to force herself to go to school despite being absolutely exhausted from attempting to have a bit of a life.

And Greg Wallace gurning like a loon.
The short challenges that the two chef judges set are great, make me think I could do it.

Busted.
This was what I finally settled on - the pro series. And TBF it did have cooking. But at 5.45am with a hangover, I was after a sort of Xmas Nigela vibe, rather than Greg shouting at me.

There is that. The only other thing I'll watch is Keith Floyd

👍
Did not know these were on there.
Hopefully he's young enough not to pickup on the alcohol abuse

The episode on hadrians wall has me in stitches every time. They definitely don’t make em like they used to!

I've accidentally watched a hairy bikers a few times and not wanted to turn it off straight away.

Forget cooking go straight to the eating..... Adam Richman on Man v Food is strangely watchable.

Watched a hairy bikers what?

Beard Meats Food on FB/YT is your best starter for gluttony.

Big Zu's big eats is good.

Absolutely no.
That was what prompted my initial post.
Just some dude interviewing people and occasionally talking about food for an hour.
-
• #21198
I've watched this guy. The amount of food he puts away is incredible but the mess he makes of his beard.
How gauche.
-
• #21199
He can't eat anything between challenges surely?
His toilet must be reinforced too...

Zipcar (again).
Site logged me out (as did the app on my phone I was logged in with). Won't let me back in. Password reset emails never arrive.
It's been "escalated to the urgent team" so let's see if something actually comes of that. Need to book a car tomorrow due to some of the train strikes.
Any evidence of water ingress? How old is it?
Garmin have been pretty good with immediate swap outs for me in the past, both in warranty and out (for a charge with the latter).
