Chip seal resurfacing
-
• #20209
Damn right. It’s like cycling on a cheese grater.
Also, a lot of fuss is made about how surface water drains aren’t coping because of run-off from paved garden spaces. I reckon the debris from chip seal is doing more to block them. -

Totally agree. My feet are appalling, no one needs to see them - also socks & birkenstocks is a comfy combo...

Everyone has started saying ‘sunscreen’ instead of ‘sun cream’.

I hope shittylawn owners are now ready to rip them up, if they're not busy tending to their pets/kids burnt feet.
-

It's more accurate, especially for the spray stuff, both are better than "sun tan lotion" which is where my head tries to go first.

What about sun block?

I contend that I would be full of the joys, if it were not for being stuck in this interminable leadership workshop hell.

People sitting in their parked cars with the engine running and the AC on full.

AC
In general, especially as employed in the States, with massive empty malls kept at 22C.

I once went to a bar in Hong Kong with an air conditioned outdoor terrace.

Annoying how many shops of Oxford Street had their front doors wide open today, could feel the cold air out on the street.
-

Presumably if the mall is well insulated and has doors that might not use that much energy?
The Superdrug I went into on Sunday afternoon was lovely and cool and had the doors wide open :( I suppose it's better from a Covid perspective.

Agreed but that’s sadly not the case for most US buildings. Although most do have doors.
Absolutely!
