I hate knowing that sooner rather than later I'm going to have to reformat my HDD and by doing so it will almost certainly fuck up the music stored on it (like it did last time). Then I'll have to spend a whole day ripping all my CDs again.

I hate being hungover at work

Unfortunately due to my mp3 player (an ancient sony thing which is awesome) using shitty software I can't do that.

Sorry for the confusion, the HDD is in my pc but the music software doesn't like tracks being moved. It is doable but then I'd need to manually tell the software the new location of every track individually. Transferring from the player back on the the pc is an option I hadn't thought of although I suspect it won't totally work because of sony's stupid copyright rules.

There is a back up function in the software but last time I tried to do it it made my pc crash everytime and refused to burn on to the dvd.

I don't have an IPod, purely becuase of it's software assuming that everyone's too stupid to do things like move files...

Also hate people's phones ringing...

what really intrigued me was that everyone else in the office - high level pencil-pushers and sober deal-cutters - didn't seem to bat an eyelid. I arrived at the conclusion that they were so generally dull that, as a species, an elaborate ringtone was considered an acceptable outlet for their expression of individuality, probably along with their choice of cufflinks and an exacting starbucks order.

Well I successfully avoided reripping all of my music but now I have no sound due to missing audio drivers. Why is every single realtek download I try corrupt or not working or on holiday or some other shit.

This is so fustrating, I wish I could find the damn driver CD.
