Shit, that looks pretty awful. Hope you can find a way to repair.

Fuuuck.
This reminds me of when we were extending and renovating our house. We had a project manager who had brought in a builder who was prepping the house before the oak builders came in to do the extension. Effectively we needed to cut open the back end of the house and put in a few steels to open things up before the additional frame got added. The project manager and builder appeared to be struggling to work out where the cuts needed to be made or where to put the accros. The final straw was the genie lift arriving on site and the builder having to ask the delivery guy how to use it, he was also unsure how to pack the steel in as per the structural engineers instructions. I had images of our house just collapsing. When the project manager said “it’s fine, the builder has insurance” I had a melt down, and my wife and I politely asked them to leave the site. We then had to rush in some builders who specialised in installing steels as the next phase of the project was due to start the following week.We had assumed he’d be insured to do the work he was undertaking but there were eventually too many alarm bells set off for us to feel comfortable letting them do it. With hindsight we had seen his insurance certificate but had no idea if we was insured to do the work he was undertaking.

Jesus christ, I really feel for you! I'm living just outside Derby these days. I'm not sure there is, but if you think there might be anything I could do to help, send me a message.

I’m mildly concerned about how much of our house is propped up on acros and strong boys at the moment.
I figure that if it’s been fine for six weeks, it won’t come down now.

I think you’re entitled to want a bit of revenge here.
It doesn’t have the clout it used to, but I’m sure the Kent Messenger would gleefully drag this chap’s name through the mud.

We've already tried his local paper and the last we heard they were going to approach him for comment.
Action Fraud not so great and don't appear to see it as a crime which I struggle to grasp but won't let go. I want to see him in prison.
I'm saving the Kent Messenger for the absolute star of a builder who's picked up the whole sorry mess.

If you see him just shout out that he's a robbing scumbag cunt. Ta!
Melbourne in Derby. I know he likes to mountain bike too. Pretty sure our money paid for his newest pair of bikes.

Thanks, my Dad used to work in the insurance game so he's helping us on that front.
We know it won't go anywhere but we'll be instructing him that he must claim on his insurance when we have an idea of overall damage this weekend. He's the only one who can claim as it's his policy, but we will be copying in the insurer when we do it.
We expect no response from him as he's got his head in his arse and hasn't responded to any of our communications so far.
After that there's the 3rd party rights against insurers act, but only after his company is wound up (which he's trying to do).

The fucking "Clap your hands" song snippet used on BT Sport football.

I'm glad he's proud of it, but it's really fucking annoying and I hate it now I've heard it twelvty billion times.

Looks like you wanted a single kitchen wipe out of the pack. Here's 23. Good luck getting them back in!

Use a cloth or kitchen roll and a spray?

I don't exactly hate it, but a lot of wanted threads don't make it to the wanted section.

Not hate, just mild annoyance - people that work in industries so get things at trade price, then when selling 2nd hand only talk about the great savings you're making on the list price. Yeah but you paid half of that?!? Maybe on eBay it's ok, but on here? The classifieds used to be about passing on great bargains.
Meh I guess it's just capitalism. -

Cunts who turn off the vacuum cleaner at the socket rather than at the vacuum switch.
So when you plug it in, it shocks you by starting up.

The insurance renewal dance.
Car renewal quote £280. Comparison site gives me a quote of £190 from the same insurer. Call them up and renewed for £180. Grrrr.

Jesus, I was happy that mine was £680, down from £700.
No national cover and cowboy builders. What you can try and do is find someone insurance to get the insurance to chase the builder.
