  • A long solo ride
    Burning calories and fat
    Riding for next year

  • One gear on my fixie
    riding the hipster highway
    being a dickheads cool.

(may or may not of been influenced by other peoples creative juices)

  • Confidence can snap
When you least expect it to
    Like a broken spoke.

  • Confidence can snap
When you least expect it to
    Like a broken spoke.

How and why would a broken spoke snap?

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, there's your mistake. You've decided I've used a broken spoke as a metaphor for confidence snapping, whereas I'm using it as a metaphor for the confidence that's been snapped. I generally don't punctuate mid-haiku. You cunt.

So if it's already snapped, snapping a snapped thing is of no consequence, n'est pas? (Bit of original Satre there, nice eh?).

  • I looked at my snapped spoke on Tuesday night, and in the sodden gloom, it encapsulated the current state of my fortitude.

Is 'Satre' some kind of halfway house between 'Sartre' and 'Satire'?

  • A broken spoke snaps
    Suddenly as I descend
    My wheel out of true

  • Buttock wound seeping
    Months of inactivity
    Weight and unfitness

    "Ew," I thought, disturbed
    Sour taste in mouth develops
    Frown crosses my face.

  • Is 'Satre' some kind of halfway house between 'Sartre' and 'Satire'?

    Cough.

  • Ha, ha-ha, haaaa, ha,
I know this, wheel is, TRUE! (why
    do I find it hard…)

  • Cough.

    Come. On.

  • Come. On.

Wot? WOT? Come ON ref, I never touched it!

  • Daily slog brightened
When morning breaks blue and crisp
    Hills don't seem so bad

  • pedestrian.

  • IGNORE, it didn't scan (just).
