  • why would you ride a rime like that with out twisting the spokes durring the build, tghat bike screams 'half assed'

  • oh and my gf got asked to write about messengers and track bikes for a 'borad sports' magazine... looks like im getting interviewed again.

  • so i was wondering is there anyone shipping aerospoke wheels into the UK regularly? Maybe Brick lane should think about it

  • i havent found anyone that does - been browsing all morning. made some phone calls and the guy will get back to me as they could come from holland!

  • ^interesting....id be looking for a white front wheel; if you have any luck, holla. I'd appreciate it.

That'll be Optima Cycles, they didn't have any when I tried... Seem to be more into the recumbent side of things...
Click on the 'locate dealer' button on the Aerospoke site, you might have more luck there...

  • i went into cavendish cycles a few weeks ago and there was a track bike hangin from the ceiling with a white front aerospoke. Dunno if it was for sale, give em a call.

  • what bike was it?

  • cant remember it was white though i think and looked pretty nice.

  • This one...

  • white front aerospokes are beautiful

  • dave thats no white.....he may mean one of odge's collection

  • thought he was talking about he aerospoke being white...

Odge only has a rear aerospoke

  • Yeah im pretty sure the bike was white, i only popped in quickly cant really remember just remember seeing the wheel as you dont see em in london that much. I really like em but seem to cost a small fortune!!

  • cheers all. Ill check out cavendish.

  • compared to the cost of buying all the parts for a new wheel its only an insignificant bit more...woth it if you really want one, i'd love one to go on the new bike but alas i'm not falling into the trap of becomeing even more in debt

  • PeterD cheers all. Ill check out cavendish.

Try Andy (guy on the 3rensho above) or Odge at fixedgearlondon.com - they may be able to sort you out

  • ohh brownie points for you dave...well done!

  • i'm on commission ;)

  • Oh man, have fun with those aerospokes kids. Yr two years late, now even HED3's are impossible to get here. Just jump on the corima 4 wagon before it gets too hot. I'll be waiting by the mavic 5s

  • Been oglin them for years just thought they were impossible to get + unable to afford till now.

  • Nice till they shatter when your 'bussin' a skid and your face bears the brunt of 3000 shards of carbon.

I have heard some bad stories.
    IHeartSpokes.

  • also, i think they are fairly heavy ... prolly not gonna b hot shit on the hills.

  • prob not for riding on a daily i would imagine. nice change though.
spoke in the eyeball....now thats nasty.

  • i ride one daily, and up a fairly steep hill - no probs here

Also be interested to hear specifically about any 'aerospokes' you've heard horror story's about. They're built strong and are not completely carbon. Never heard any thing about them snapping/shattering - nothing comes up in google. You sure you not just talking about carbon wheels in general - spinergy etc.
