Yeah, great to meet you Barney. I really liked you Dolan, maybe I can get a ride on it next time? Oh and keep working on thise skids - especially if we get a rainy day :-)

  • Of course mate, anytime you like. As for skids, they just won't come off for me. I'll just have to keep on practicing............

  • BTW, does your username come from Voltaire?

  • Yeah it does, I read Candide during my A-Levels and I associated myself, at that time, with his innocence and naivety, and have subsequently always used that as a username. "The best of all possible worlds............."

  • anyone up for a ride this weekend? i'm chris, the bloke on the red pursuit bike last sunday.

  • I am up for it Chris...I was going to suggest the same thing...how about meeting up Greenwich Park for a kick about or something. There are loads of nice pubs up there...just a suggestion...btw this is Robin with the blue BJ.

Pritty nice. I my self won best lamb with a Suffolk back in about 94 - 95 ish, happy days

  • ok, that sounds good, who are we kicking around? How about men on grown men on bicycles with no brakes and gears whose mums worry about them.
Seriously though, yes, and what time?

  • How about On Sunday at 11:00am in CuttySark Gardens (basically where the CuttySark is)
We could kick a football around maybe??
Or just drink and talk about bikes??

  • ok that sounds good, what's your name?

  • Robin, hopefully a few more people will come too. I have put it in a new thread.

  • where is the new thread? i can't find it

  • hopefully my bike will be (self) built in time for the next one...

  • should be in the rides and races...under Sunday 16th ride

  • candide Yeah it does, I read Candide during my A-Levels and I associated myself, at that time, with his innocence and naivety, and have subsequently always used that as a username. "The best of all possible worlds............."

You said 'at that time'. Does that mean you are jaded and cynical now?

  • Ah, well I found the folly of my teenage years was my innocence, and perhaps now a few years on, I am a bit more cynical and certainly wiser, but in way 'jaded' - I'll leave that unpleasant trait for grumpy old men!

  • Oooh, this appears to be this Sunday.

    Lovely.

  • Uhhh, this Sunday is the FIRST sunday of the month.

    Isn't it?

  • Oh yeah.

Google is confused. I added a calendar entry and it insisted this Sunday was the 2nd. I think their computer is nuts.

    Week after then ;)

  • that's good, this sunday is Film day

  • NFT? Sunday In Hell?

  • yes indeedy...

  • Looking forward to this movie...
