  • Needed some new buds in the £50-£100 range. Picked up some nothing ear 1's and some Comply foam tips and they sound pretty goddamn great with ANC. Nice, minimally invasive app too. Would recommend.

If anyone needs/wants a pair of the Comply comfort+ 400 series tips in size large, drop me a line, I'm happy to put them in the post.

  • Has anyone been able to try the Sony LinkBuds? Look like they could be perfect for using whilst cycling or running.

  • Would anyone have a recommendation for USB-C wired earphones? Something super basic with no controls or add ons would be perfect (if the plain white Apple earphones were available in USB-C that would be fine...), I just want something for a backup for my Bose Sport Earbuds as I noticed the 5hr battery life isn't really sufficient for travel after a few recent airport trips...

  • I really liked the wired pixel earbuds - the little ear loop does a great job of keeping them in place.

  • These actually look quite neat and the control is pretty minimal! I'll look into them, thanks for the tip!

  • Was thinking the same but think I'm going to order some Shokz OpenRun

  • I have some Jabra Sport Elite 75t (or summat) in safety orange.
great earphones, £75 used on eBay. Few quid for new gummies.

  • Any recommendations for in ear, wired headphones with a mic for less than £75? Ideally much less. I'd love to go wireless but I'm realistic about the fact that I'd just lose them.

  • I wouldn't be so sure. I thought the same thing but I've now had my Airpods for almost a year and I've not lost them. The one time I thought I had lost them, I was able to find them using Find My iPhone.

But if you are adament that you want wires, you might wanna say whether you need a 3.5mm jack, USB-C or Lightning connector.

  • Moondrop chu are £25 and sound great.

  • I'm reeeeeaallly good at losing stuff though. 3.5mm jack!

  • Will look in to those, thanks.

  • I’ve just bought some sennheiser 250bt headphone and they’re great. The only thing they are missing is a spongy bit under the headband.

I’ve done some googling and there is a spongy bit for sale on their accessories page but it’s for a different set of headphone.

  • Ok, I've decided I'm going to try and be a grown up and not lose something immediately for once in my life. Any suggestions for budget (sub £50 if possible) true wireless earphones?

  • Sennheiser hd250bt. Best head phones I’ve ever had

  • Ah, I should have been clearer, I'm after some in ear ones!

  • Any first hand experience of the Ear Fun Air Pro 2? They get good reviews, are water resistant (I'd like to be able to get them sweaty) and I like the idea of being able to turn noise cancelling on and off.

  • Really depends on what you prioritize. Anc, sound quality, battery life, size, mic quality etc. There's good reviews here for affordable tws: scarbir.com

  • Thanks for that! I'll figure out what my priorities are and have a read of that.

  • Thanks again for the link, I just ordered a refurbished pair of the Lypertek PurePlay Z3 based on a recommendation from that list. They ticked all my boxes and have a feature that lets you find them using an app if you misplace them (which I will).

  • Looking for headphone recommendations to replace a child-related destruction of my Bowers & Wilkins P5. Ideally wireless with options for wired connection when home, noise cancelling would be good for the commute but most importantly sound quality as close to my previous cans. Looking to spend £250 tops unless there is something just a bit more that is worth the extra

  • I'm pretty happy with the Dali io4. Stay away if you're a basshead or if you need noise cancelling, the io6 comes with that though.

  • Well my first pair of wireless buds are pretty amazing, Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+ are down to £50 at the moment from them and Amazon.

  • My gen 1 pixel buds case has finally decided to kick it. 4 years is not a bad runnings..

These were the best headphones in my opinion, partuclarly that they are not completely in your ear for being able to hear other things whilst cycling.

    Can anyone recommend similar headphones?

    Thanks

  • Any interest in a pair of Arctis 7 wireless headphones? Only a few months old. Come with a dongle so no annoying connectivity issues and range is top.
