So my (underwhelming) e10s kicked the bucket the other day (after my son ripped them apart) and the left channel of my crappy HTC buds i've been using has just given up.
What would you guys suggest? Looking around the £50 mark. Would love to get them somewhere that did returns and speedy delivery rather than Aliexpress.
I've been looking at PL50's or Sony MDR-EX650

I have the sony's and they're really good

Oooh they look nice, have you got a pair? 3 year warranty and buying straight from the supplier are both nice added bonuses

Good to hear, have you had them long?
-
• #1232
Yeah, 6+ months. Lasting well. Really good sound quality and build quality.

Yeah, bit bassy but well made. May be wrong but I think they are a British company.

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 for £199 if anyone is after a pair:

And a free pair of Sennheiser Momentum M2 In Ear on top.
I've been impressed by my on-ear Momentum. Definitely better than the Bose Soundlink at that price.
Although I see that the Soundlink are on at £120 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bose-SoundLink-Bluetooth-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B00M58CMYC

Same with the momentums in terms of wired = no noise cancelling. 12 hours also my max tested. taking them off is actually pretty awful.

Anyone, I want a pair of Comply buds but choosing the right ones is like a puzzle with no answer.
I have the Sennheiser Momentum in ears. The guide is telling me to have the custom, however I can't find these anywhere!

Both the cables that came with my AKG K451's broke.
Such frustration.Anyone know of a good source for replacements?
Tried eBay and amazon, they're like € 20, while a whole new pair of K451's is € 60.There's really cheap (€ 2.50), standard 2.5mm to 3.5mm cables but I'm pretty sure the won't fit in that twist & lock slot..

Have 4 hours of train journeys today and forgot my earphones
What can I buy at kings x station that will do a reasonable job of blocking out screaming kids noise and not sound shit?

Thanks for the offer. Might need a long cable though (in Sydney...)

On the off chance you ever find yourself in this situation again... John Lewis in St. Pancras has mid range kit that would do the job.

Sweet tip
I got a £15 pair of Sony ones - a little tinny but fine - blocked out enough noise for me to do some meditation on the train

Anyone got or tried a pair of B&O BeoPlay H8s? I was killing time in WHSmith the other day waiting for a train and they had a demo pair - unfortunately not plugged in so I couldn't hear audio quality but was blown away by build quality. Felt so nicely made compared to anything else I've come across.
I had a pair of Sony MDR 7520s that I bought a few years ago but the arm on one ear cracked with 3 months and I wasn't able to track down a replacement part. The company I bought them from accepted no responsibility so I've basically been using my iPhone buds since then or nothing at all. Figure it's time for something nice. No longer need something work-horsey for studio listening. I'd like on-ear I can enjoy around the house and on the go. I like the idea that the H8s have a microphone so I can make calls. Stunned by the build quality but in fairness haven't compared them to much else. However I've read reviews online saying their bluetooth keeps dropping out and the audio quality isn't much to write home about - especially for 400 quid. Which seems fair enough.
Any one with any experience? Or similar options to suggest in their stead? (On-ear, top end build and materials, bluetooth not essential but desirable, noise cancelling not essential, good battery life).
Cheers guys, I've never tried noise cancelling with Bose or Sennheiser but I've used some in the past which you could feel when it was on but if you've worn them for that amount of time then I guess there's no problem. I just need to give them a try.
