hippy I'd rather race and lose than not race!
Of course me too. I was just nosy, wondering if you are in a realistic time area for me to get competitive with. I like to choose my competition so they are a challenge but obtainable. I have no clue how fast I am but just wanted to see if you were in the near 20 sec or a more human time.
I think I will be slow on the night as I have a pub crawl to go to before hand.:)

I just listened to that.. Simon aka twosheds aka The Dominator :) reckons he's not racing.
I've gotta have a go riding it on the drops now.

winston don't forget qualifying finishes at 8.30....
So what happens turn up at 7:00 register then get called for qualifying?
-
• #382
you can qualify whenever you like and as many times as you like between 7 and 8.30, if there's loads of people at the time you wanna ride, just join the queue, we'll get through them pretty quick.......
-
• #383
yeah, register first though....
-
• #384
How many beers for a second off my time?
-
• #385
I won't be greedy, I'll just let you buy me the one.
-
• #386
Like it Hippy - aim low & achieve. Been my motto for years!

I suggest that beer will improve your technique, it is directly proportional to your cadence.
(THIS IS NOT POSTED TO TRY AND MAKE YOU BUY MORE BEER, IT IS THE TRUTH)

LOL at "winspar" :D
I will try some. I do enjoy a sip of beer every once in a while. :)
I'm hopefully bringing the gf as backup just to make sure we meet minimum intake standards.
I was actually wondering about vodka/redbull as a performance enhancer? -
• #389
Vodka and Redbull is sitting pretty right next to Jagermeister and VB!
-
• #390
Jagerbomb would be an alternative.. but VB? shudders (and not in an orgasmic way more of a drunken misspent youth kinda way :))
-
• #391
No VB really! Just Fosters......
-
• #392
Bah! Oh, I suppose I can force myself to drink it.. ;)
-
• #393
There is much better beer than Fosters available.
Amstel, Carlsberg, Guinness and others - Don't be alarmed.
-
• #394
Phew!
We really should have tried harder to find an 'offie' in Ghent! :) -
• #395
I am so psyched about this - been looking forward to it for weeks.
Only problem is that I am gonna have to start memorizing all the pics on the 'names and faces' thread so that I can recognize people.
Why don't we all scrawl our user names on our foreheads in green biro?

-
• #399

dogs, you got off lucky there. If you'd called a Scotsman English, he'd hunt you down and give a ya a glaswegian kiss.
The pic above was at Arsenal stadium with higher gearing and I got 22.43. slamm got 21.92 there!
