Going for a 55/42, 11-23 combo with 53/39 chainrings as extras for my first geared bike in more than 10 years.

I changed to fixed last year, after 25+ years of road cycling, but still posses a geared bike. The fixed is ridden in preference, reserving the geared bike for very long rides.

Now, I can't imagine a day when I'd prefer geared.

Or ride a geared bike reserving the fixed bike for very long rides.

55/42 is almost similar to Pantani's gearing (55/44).

46/34, 11-28

48-34/12-25, will replace with 12-27 when the current cassette is done.

I keep looking this shit up! Apparently everyone's gear is the holy grail and it's actually my pathetic noodle legs that keep me from wicked skidding my way in every set of panties within a 10 mile radius.

53/18 2.94 maybe in few month i go 53/17 3.11 but i need more training.

2.94 or 3.11 For my city (Lausanne) this is hard.
