bugger, nerg repped Lynchman instead of positive rep, don't know how that happened.

Going for a 55/42, 11-23 combo with 53/39 chainrings as extras for my first geared bike in more than 10 years.
I changed to fixed last year, after 25+ years of road cycling, but still posses a geared bike. The fixed is ridden in preference, reserving the geared bike for very long rides.
Now, I can't imagine a day when I'd prefer geared.

Or ride a geared bike reserving the fixed bike for very long rides.

Nerging me for my choice of gear ratio... You're a fucking cunt scoble; have some positive rep lowlife and then fuck the fuck off!

Really ed, do fuck off.

Hey! I did exactly that too.
55/42 is almost similar to Pantani's gearing (55/44).

46/34, 11-28
48-34/12-25, will replace with 12-27 when the current cassette is done.

I keep looking this shit up! Apparently everyone's gear is the holy grail and it's actually my pathetic noodle legs that keep me from wicked skidding my way in every set of panties within a 10 mile radius.
Are you sure you want to skid your way into anyone's panties?

i think he means skidding whilst wearing them.
takes all sorts...

Despite having but three skid patches, 48:18 is quite fun. Especially when you don't skid much. My rebuilt knee likes the spin...

Sorry for beginner questions but what the hell are skid patches?

what the hell are skid patches?
The marks you get on your underwear if you ride a brakeless bike on the road.

"You seemed to ask a lots of question but never satisfied with the answers goonz"

Doing it wrong 55/44 -> 11-21 or GTFO >>>
Or, if you're riding fixed, twelfty.

So 10 speed cassette then > 11 speed?
Nicely done Marco Pantani.
