The newish album by Open Mike Eagle, Dark Comedy, is a good listen.
http://mellomusicgroup.bandcamp.com/album/dark-comedyI thought this song was funny (the video though was a little bit too 'high concept'). Apparently Hannibal Buress can rap. I didn't know.

For some reason whenever I think of Jeru the Damaja I also think of Jakki the Motamouth.* I'm not sure if you dueds ever listened to him. He had a record I liked called God vs Satan that came out like ten years ago. He teamed up with Copywrite a bunch and I think was somehow involved with some of the Def Jux dudes.
I think his best song was on R2DJ's deadringer record, F.H.H.

*It's a little disingenuous to say "for some reason". There is an obvious reason.

Its interesting, I haven't really listened to Nas since 'Stillmatic' and 'Ether' but when I do I am pleasantly surprised that I enjoy it.
meh. he used words longer than 'yo' and uhhhh
although this was fire:
In '93, Wu-Tang Clan dropped their first LP
We went platinum, whoo-peesh, yeah we flatten 'em
Pockets got fat and um, went and got Cap and 'em
Staten's on the map and um, Brooklyn Zu is bombin' 'em
All around the world, Killa Beez start swarmin' 'em
You can't stop us, you can't block us
Rock us or mock us, knock us or top us
Better sit back and watch us...
