If you can find the vinyl soundtrack sampler for the film Orgazmo you get this, Rumpshaker, C.R.E.A.M and an otherwise unreleased KRS 1/Dust Brothers collaboration for a couple of quid

Thanks for that.
I just made a 1999 playlist for in the car with my kids. I’m working backwards, doing 1998 now. -

Bit of a dredge, was on Big Dada label (off shoot of Ninja Tune)... I have this track on this compilation, of which I pretty much only listen to this one.

I know! Such a great year. As I’m doing these I’m remembering albums I’d completely forgotten, hence posting Arsonists a while ago from 1999.
Bobby digital, Rasco.

Is have an MP3 of it, let me know if you want a copy

Never thought I would get a copy of this, but it turned up on ebay last week and arrived this morning in perfect condition. It is the original UK Jive Records promo for 'Boogie Down Productions - Ghetto Music: The Blueprint Of Hip Hop'.
There are only 2 people on Discogs who own it (well, now 3!) and it has never been sold on there. I have a copy of the original vinyl that I bought when it was released as well, great album.

Sophie Bramly‘s work here is awesome. The artists, the scene, the fashion is all captured in this 300 page visual diary, honest, relaxed. From back stage snaps, portraits, small scale breaking parties, street scenes, graffiti, clothing, style. It’s everything hip hop was without the hype. This scene inspired me during my early teens and the key reason for visiting New York in 1992 to visit iconic districts including south bronx, flatbush, the bridge

RIP The Last Poet (TLP1). This is my favourite Hardnoise track, absolutely slamming and the scratching....

Hardnoise (amongst others) were amazing back in the day... shame it didn't really kick off like the US hip hip scene... lucky enough to see London Posse in Southend years ago
