I fitted 32c rando on the back of mine when i was cool

Any photos of a classic track with the largest tyres on that its possible to fit?
Quite fancy a beater/bruiser
new 28c rando w/ the wheel pretty much slammed. haven't got anything bigger.
2013 classic track if that makes any difference.

They must have improved it in recent years, my 2010 Classic can't even take 23mm if they're pushed all the way in. It's fine on the chain stays but rubs on the brake bridge.
It's o.k with the wheel about half way along, I reckon I could get 25 or 28mm with the wheel at the back.

Why would you even...
Sounds like they got the measurements dialled then. You want some movement in the track end to slide the wheel forward to get the chain off when you flat.
My 2006(?) took 28s ok.

I should've quoted the guy above. He was saying his 2013 could take a 28 when it's all the way in, I was just saying the 2010 can't even take a 23 like that.

Fuji Track 2.1 2014 or Fuji Track Classic 2014 any thoughts?
The only difference I can see between the 2 is the frame and about 1kg in weight. Anyone here tried both?

That's the only difference the bloke at Evans could tell me.
Just picked mine up

looking at buying a classic track but the 2013 ones have been pretty much discontinued from Evan cycles and I'm not a fan of the 2014 one so anybody know where I can get one from?

yeah that's the one I got, my first track bike so not a lot to compare it too but really enjoying it so far. switched out the tires for something a bit more puncture resistant and have just acquired a crabon fibre fork from china. will get a picture up soon

Everyone seems to have bought a classic... am I a twat to have bought a 2.1?

You got any picutres of it? Also, can you remove the decals easily? If you have the black version, is there a way of removing the blue stuff from the top tube? You got any idea how the ride is compared to the ChroMo Track Classic? Harsher perhaps?
I'm choosing between the Track 2.1 and the Track Classic, and the price difference is only £10

Not sure if the track 2.1 is the same but don't think I could get the decals off my track classic without having the frame stripped. Seems like they are under a clearcoat.

Anyone know what size seat clamp the fuji track takes?
-
• #2523
Which one? I've got a 2011 track classic I could measure? And do you want seatpost size or seatpost collar?
-
• #2524
mines older, 2006 I think but should be the same I think.
After the collar size, I've measured it and its about 30mm but need to be pretty accurate with these, it should say on the underneath of yours
Thanks -

Had a skim read through the latter half of this thread.
Has anyone swapped out their forks for a set up from a different manufacturer to bring the front wheel in a bit closer and shorten the wheelbase?
From reading up the Bianchi Pista (28mm) and Surly Steamroller (38mm) both have a lower rake than the 45mm as standard on 52cm 2008 frame.
I also understand that there is more to it than just slapping on a lower rake fork.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Definitely 28c, 32 might be possible.
