  • don't ask me..

  • ask you what?

  • ask you.

  • asm if this is true then having some friends in CSM wouldn't go amiss. There is a silly ratio of girls - boys in my college. silly in a good way if you're a boy that is. At least it was silly on foundation, but next year i'm with all the fashion students so heh heh heh (either female or gay) (sorry if anyone is a fashion student at st martins and is neither female nor gay)

lucky you, when i went to csm i was at the southampton row site with the graphic designers (being one myself) and product designers. there are jewellery and textile girls but you dont feel outnumbered at all. and sure the birds over there at charing cross road are more fit than here.

all moving to kings cross in 2010 i heard, one melting pot.

  • hippy I don't get it.

    Nor do I.

If Hippy doesn't I think we're all doomed, forever.

  • I think RPM was channeling a parallel universe..

  • no, I did that saturday night.

it was a pretty good joke though, I'm surprised you didn't get it..

  • Sorry.. I'll try harder next time.

  • ok, let's try again:

Q; What do you call an Australian Dentist?

  • Mate?

  • Groan..

No man, you're not getting this!

    A; Cobber.

  • Nup, it seems I'm not. Maybe I've been in Europe too long?

  • it depends, how long did you spend over there?

  • I've been here for 2 years.. you siwwy widdle European! :P

  • England is in Great Britain, so there!

and anyway, I am 1/4 Haitian.

what makes me chuckle is that this thread is titled "Powergrips" hah! LOL WTF OMG QED ETC

  • I feel sad now.

    My thread has been hijacked.

    I didn't get joke number 1.

    I didn't get joke number 2.

Now I have to get up and go to work.

  • back to the posh tossers.....does anyone know of a school called bedales? if there ever was a school for them then bedales is it

  • RPM England is in Great Britain, so there!

Great Britain is on the continent Europe.
What happened to the other 3/4s?
    I'm 1/4 English.. fscking scary that! :P

Yeah, but we all know Powergrips are just a stepping stone to proper pedals and shoes so this random chatter helps the powergrip addicts to move on..

  • Back to the Powergrips...

I ride everywhere, if I don't want to wear my spds all day, so I put on my powergrips/sylvans and my gazelles. They are nowhere near as good as any clip-in style pedals though, since you can't apply force at the bottom of the pedal stroke - your feet would just come out. That said - it's way better than riding with trainers and spds.

eeehhhh - Back to Imperial: I actually really liked it. When I was there, many students were from the far east, and they worked very hard, and you only ever saw them in lectures and labs, they never ever went to the union bars or anything like that. Point is, the un-interesting people don't get in your way, so it's not a problem. I did have a lab group once that was assigned alphabetically by surname. Vaughan, Wong, Wong, Wong, Wong, Wong, Wong and Wong.

  • Joke 3 : Why isn't there a chinese phone book?

A : Too many wings and wongs, you might wing the wong number.

  • Joke 4 : What do you call a frenchman in sandals?

    A : Philipe Phelop

    absolutely true.

(apart from the bit about Britain being in Europe, yeah righto, like we'd have anything as good as the stuff they have in Europe, I mean, we don't even speak foreign)

    Joke 5:

Q; What do you call an Australian academic ?

  • Cobber?

  • germaine greer?

baggy fannied old goat sound right

From what everyone's said it looks like powergrips are going to be the best solution for me, even though they aren't the "best". I can't be bothered to carry around extra shoes really, and I would like clipless, it's just the £...

Imperial - I really can't wait. I noticed the number of far eastern people when I went for interview - they all look very smart and then there's me in my (smartish) jeans and a collar shirt with no tie! :)

What did you study by the way?
