Boris Johnson, he makes bikes right?

You've got to be a celeb to get anywhere in this kind of personality contest. Love Ken or loathe him at least this will shake him up. Complacent commie little git.
I personally loathe him - the anti-semitism, the posturing with Venezuaelan leftists, inviting terrorism promoters as VIPs. Git. Plus of course talking the talk about cycling and actually doing nothing.
The only good thing he has done is bring Le Tour and help get the Olympics. And I question how much he had to do with it.
At least Boris has done something outside politics (albeit journalism). And who would you rather have a pint with?

The anti-semtism was invented by the press.

Let's not fight over it.
Keep politics out of our cycling.

"Well you might be, but actually you are just like a concentration camp guard. You're just doing it 'cause you're paid to, aren't you?"
Not really the sort of thing the Mayor of London should be saying to Jewish Journalist not matter how much of a git that journalist may have or may not have been. Especially when the aforementioned Mayor has been inviting high profile anti-semites to London at the tax payers expense.

come on the standard has been waging war against ken for years

I remember Red Ken from the days of Thatcher he was like a working class hero back then
I thought it was brilliant that London made him mayor
but you got to open your eyes
these days Jewish people are getting abuse all the time
and they are being abused for being Jewish
and that ain't right
what Ken said was wrong
and because he didn't fully apologise
it was doubly wrong
I was brought up not to say inappropriate things to people
I don't expect the Mayor of London to say inapproprate things niether
Time for a change
He might be a toff but Boris is one of the Lads,
he rides a bike, he 'done' his secretary, good enough for me

agree with smiling budda, I really went off Ken after that episode.
Boris is much more likeable, but would be hopeless. Could you see him bringing the tour to london?

I don't agree, we've all entreched views on this matter, we should keep it civil here. There are plenty of other politics/flaming forums.
This is regarding charges of anti-semitism etc.

D'ya think that boris jumps red lights whilst not wearing a helmet?

Fake Ken.
