Newby alert ! This is my (only) bike. It's a 1937 Baines, marketed by Rudge-Whitworth. I obtained the frame in the mid 1950s when I used it for time trials.
So it has 1950' s bits that I transferred from another frame at that time - Harden large flange hubs, Conloy rims, GB brake and Brooks saddle. In the mid '80's I had the wheels rebuilt and had to fit a new chain set and pedals.

did they not make a film about when your parents left you at home, and some guys tried to break in leading to hilarious traps etc.... and surprisingly not a visit from child protection.
hahaha! :)

Cheers buddy. my blonde hair and dashing good looks are no fault of mine.

That is a lovely frame. Congrats.

Thanks for the welcome :-) There's no way I can ride it the way I used to, so I am looking for a good home for it. Where would be the best place to advertise ? eBay ?

JDS, I'm sure someone on here would be interested. Try the classifieds section first, then if not eBay.
It looks lovely. Was funny you posted it in Anti Porn! ;)

Thanks very much ! Just trying to find what value it might have. I last used it seriously about 25 years ago. Nearly killed myself trying to go as fast as I did when I used to cycle hard in the 1950's..

My afternoon offer of a packet of ginger nuts still stands*, although one of my colleagues did tuck into them whilst I was outside smoking a fag. New Old Stock.
- I suspect you may be looking for more money than this. There're no flying gate frames for sale on ebay at the moment, but if you have the patience, try scrolling through the pages of the ebay thread in the classifieds section.

face as it is generally:
Ah ha, cyclone.
I started there too. Good luck with Ronnie, he's a grade a slime bucket. I hope that spinergy isn't one you bought off another courier, if so it's well dodgy. Already not a good choice for london roads, but I know he road it till it was pretty much over (I also know he was flogging it, that's why I thought you might have ended up with it). -

Nah I got the spinergy from a roadie so it hadn't had much abuse at all!
