  • did they not make a film about when your parents left you at home, and some guys tried to break in leading to hilarious traps etc.... and surprisingly not a visit from child protection.

    good. good.

  • P.S how the fuck does a courier afford an I phone?

  • Fucking hell, where did the carte blanche to rip the piss out of the way someone looks come from?

This is a bike forum, not fucking hot or not.

err.. me and max are freinds, im just having a laugh with him. you need to calm the fuck down

  • OK, fair enough. Sorry for getting uppity, but you can see how that might look for an unsuspecting bystander?

  • yeah , i know how this forum can be sometimes, sorry for being a bit off

    .

  • Guys you've made me sit in my office this friday arvo having a proper chuckle. Enjoy your weekends! I'm off (hopefully) to a pub in Marrakech. I hope thats not a ridiculous as it sounds.

  • Update:

    mug:

    Nice B&W photo.

  • Newby alert ! This is my (only) bike. It's a 1937 Baines, marketed by Rudge-Whitworth. I obtained the frame in the mid 1950s when I used it for time trials.

So it has 1950' s bits that I transferred from another frame at that time - Harden large flange hubs, Conloy rims, GB brake and Brooks saddle. In the mid '80's I had the wheels rebuilt and had to fit a new chain set and pedals.

That is a lovely frame. Congrats.

  • Thanks for the welcome :-) There's no way I can ride it the way I used to, so I am looking for a good home for it. Where would be the best place to advertise ? eBay ?

  • JDS, I'm sure someone on here would be interested. Try the classifieds section first, then if not eBay.

It looks lovely. Was funny you posted it in Anti Porn! ;)

  • Hi JDS, i just sent you a PM about it.

Well, I'm just an old geezer, slow on the uptake..... :-)

  • I think I have you on flickr mate, I'm alextakesphotos.

Thought you might of been off Flickr. Don't really use mine anymore since my pro account expired...

  • Just going to say, that bike's a beauty JDS!

  • Just going to say, that bike's a beauty JDS!

Thanks very much ! Just trying to find what value it might have. I last used it seriously about 25 years ago. Nearly killed myself trying to go as fast as I did when I used to cycle hard in the 1950's..

  • My afternoon offer of a packet of ginger nuts still stands*, although one of my colleagues did tuck into them whilst I was outside smoking a fag. New Old Stock.

    • I suspect you may be looking for more money than this. There're no flying gate frames for sale on ebay at the moment, but if you have the patience, try scrolling through the pages of the ebay thread in the classifieds section.

Oi, you're on my flickr too. Welcome abroad. You're the guy with some quite shots form the gigs, right?

  • bike as it is at the moment:

    face as it is generally:

    Ah ha, cyclone.
I started there too. Good luck with Ronnie, he's a grade a slime bucket. I hope that spinergy isn't one you bought off another courier, if so it's well dodgy. Already not a good choice for london roads, but I know he road it till it was pretty much over (I also know he was flogging it, that's why I thought you might have ended up with it).

    My face:

  • sorry for the thumbnails, I was being a nobhead... bigger pics here:

  • Like it, what's the frame?

  • Cheers, it's a bareknuckle

Yeah, you do a lot of stuff with film/medium format right? Nice stuff!

Correct at the Ronnie bit haha! Nah I got the spinergy from a roadie so it hadn't had much abuse at all!
