  • a hot link?
isn't that when you've been rubbing your bike around town, pulling skid after skid and you burn your leg on the chain?

or a fresh out of the oven breakfast, dinner or lunch pork product?

or what those crazy anime loving people (cosuplayers?) call the guy from zelda?

    or.
    thats enough....

  • Please please please no one else tell me what a hot link is.

just pretend it's a reference to a chain link that gotten a bit sexy.

  • Think of it like a pyramid scheme will. every time an image gets used to a critical point a better image is put in its place and so on, untill we get to the greatest image that exsits on the internet in all human memory

Which was that cock in an arse picture.

  • the greatest image that exists on the internet in all human memory are a cock in arse picture?

  • or what those crazy anime loving people (cosuplayers?) call the guy from zelda?

  • Same face but the finishing touches have been made to the fugly Herne Hill spares+second hand project. Decided I can't be bothered tospend anything getting it re-painted.

It weighs about half what the Bob does, glad I'm not a weight weenie.

  • Hi Brian.

  • got to change the name of the arthur caygill to arthur scargill, it is 25 years since the miners strike.

  • Hi Tricity. Pseudonyms are great.

  • Slient P FTW!

  • Long time lurker, very infrequent poster - hello all from deepest, darkest Hull... (yes, yes, I'm aware that I'm somewhat outside the forum's catchment area)

Yes, non-driveside pic fail of a completely standard* OTP Giant Bowery 72.

Still trying to get used to this whole fixed-malarkey - determinedly spinning round Hull using only 1/18 of the other bike's available gears wasn't quite as much preparation as I'd anticipated... ;-P

Still, it hasn't thrown me off yet, and, more to the point, since getting this, I haven't touched the geared steed (and have, instead, been wondering how practical it'd be to fixify it, too).

Mainly use the bike for commuting to/from work twice a day (I go home at lunch to check on the hound), but am hoping to venture a bit further afield as and when. And, seriously, I'm hoping to flit down to London some time for one of the forum rides (Bridges, or one of the Brighton ones, mebbe).

    • standard except for removing the wheel reflectors, front reflector and bell.
  • OUCC : Oxford Uni Cycle Club ??

  • Hi there :)

Just joined the forum, I am actually kattt's older sister for those who know her... I was in London the other week and went on the Eilidh ride which was a really awesome experience and made me think I'd like to possibly get into fg/ss (that and knowing how much Kat enjoys it).

I have my grandmother's old Peugeot and I'm trying to salvage the frame to use... I know it's pretty beat and it would be easier just to get a new bike but I think the challenge is part of the fun. Plus, I'll hopefully learn a lot about bikes.

    I believe it's a 1974 UO-18, here's a pre-dissasembly and rust removal pic:

I know it's a low-end, mass-produced bike and probably not technically "worth" the work and money to make it rideable again, but I'm ok with that ;)

You didnt bring some sort of inverse blender, with you did you?

  • Nice job Ollie.

I'm new to the site but been riding fixed in London for 2.5 years.
Getting bored of my Langster though, so planning the next one soon.
Was thinking about a Dolan Track Champion and modifying, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.
