  • ^^ that is one nice looking bike!

  • +1 to the above. (But I'm with Hippy on the subject of risers).

  • hippy meh.. spd are cheap, work and lots of ppl have them.

    That's excellent news.

  • hippy Yes it is.

    Absolutely.

  • Fabulous.

  • okay in view of tonights ride thought id better post up me bike

and this is me mug again

  • Your saddle might be nice and matching but if it's still on there in a month I'll be amazed.

    Worst saddle I've ever encountered.

  • yup i know its shit but its a temp till i get a nice white rolls!

  • PeterD - wow, that's a really nice ride. I love the white, black and green colour scheme you've got going on. What frame is it?

  • eeehhhh PeterD - wow, that's a really nice ride. I love the white, black and green colour scheme you've got going on. What frame is it?

cheers fella...its fuckin huge though! Its one of my dads old frames he had hand built about 20 years ago. Before i had it sprayed the decal on the front was J.B.Allen. which i would like to replace at some point.
He was a sottish frame builder and quite good from what my dad tells me. My old mans a bit bike crazy but also quite trad when it comes to set ups so i thought he wouldn't like it. But he was down
a couple of weeks ago and gave it the thumbs up!

  • PeterD roberto has a few really nice NOS white vintage turbo saddles and even a couple san marco's ;) . niceride is the fr machined though?!

  • nah when i went to get them they didn't have any machined in. I dont use the front brake excessively though so not too much squeckin. They will wear down hopefully

  • Lovely looking whip Peter D.

  • ....

    nothing, really.

  • ok, update now that the bianchi is gone. everyone saw this on the weekend. 60's holdsworth mistral 55cm, reynolds 531 (relatively light), lovely wrap around seat stay, orig paint with touch-up, orig chrome rear end, campag triomph cranks, moustache bars, white san marco rolls.
rode it all night for the night ride and didn't rip a hole in my arse.

pic of me from night ride (on the right, not stompy!)

  • lookin' good dogs, see ya dropped the v8's...

  • and the brakes ;)

  • At least peterD will be able to do Superman seat-grabs a little easier.

  • ^did about three of those and a couple of tail whips when you were busy trying to get on the dlr the other night

  • Wondered why everybody was screaming "yeeeeaaaah!!!"

  • nice one dogs, a much sweeter looking ride than the bianchi.

are you sure they really moustache bars? and have you shortened them?

  • they are the funny alloy risers that sweep down, but shortened, so whatever you call em.

  • i found something just like em on an abandoned bike out the back of my brothers house. turns out they are ITM and in really good nick. just need to shorten em. i like the look of what you did there.
