Could be wrong but I thought the Vato Rat was used way before the wheels (Rat Bones?) came out? I'm sure there's a scene in Future Primitive of somebody spraying it in a pool.

The Bones brigade was Stacy Peralta's skateboard team they rode on rat bones which came out when I was at school in 70's - the Bones brigade videos came later - I had that Bones patch on my jacket
