  • I'm in. Cwm carn?

  • few facts people.
    1) these weigh a tonne
    2) tyres are street tyres
    3) can't run bigger sprocket on front as it wil hit the chainstay.
    4) cruiser, not commuter!

so i should just stick with what i have?

  • What do you want to do tho, increase or decrease the gearing?

  • ^^

    Increase (i think).

I just want it to be a tad more forgiving i.e. not so hard on the legs, especially when sitting off.

plus once i get going the gear tends to slip alot (no sure if that's the right word) without going that fast.

  • ..that would be decreasing the gearing.. get hold of a 17T freewheel, slipping could be due to worn parts / shagged freewheel / loose chain?
(Warning - Your maximum possible velocity will decrease slightly.)

  • I'm in. Cwm carn?

you been spending too much time with Chirs Carsh?

I'll translate it for you; "I'm in. Your sister"

  • oooo, em i just bumped you up a snot bar.

  • Cheers Murtle.

  • It was Ray who'd dropped me back down in the first place.

  • right, where is he???

  • In the bathroom rouching himself up. Apparently his employer was, once again, forced to chastise him for doing it in public.

  • I have a 24" Dr Jekyll, can i join in this ride?

I'm having fun on this thing

  • erm........LCB, he's running a 36x16 which is spinny, i think he needs to go bigger on the front.

I take the term "forgiving" to usually mean lower geared.

Nice bike! you must post a larger pic.

    I do love thin rims.

  • you look angry!

  • you look angry!

I'd be angry if that was the only response to my swarthy Gallic good looks...
    (and my artfully-posed photo montage).

  • im just jealous you see...

  • here's my bike built so that there's not much i'd change. i got the frame, forks and bottom bracket from El Diablo for £45 which i was happy about. It's a nice sparkly black colour and rides really nice. I'm pretty sure it's a faux pas to run a 700 on the front but i havent got around to changing it over yet, and am not sure if i want to. Also i'm sure everyone has comments on the flat bar on a lo-pro but it feels good to ride at the moment. Everything is just taken off my old bike so it's not planned but i like it.

    face is the same

  • I like the frame, I like it with a 700 in there.

  • That's lovely Fred... Nice job...

  • Definitely pretty, don't like the bars though. Think it needs to have the stem lowered and put some short risers on there.
