  • Gotta keep the flaps fresh..

  • On a "I have spent too much on bikes" thing- why am I looking at new wheels on eBay for the MTB that I have not been out on for over six months?

  • Just out of interest what is the trade value for one of these?

  • just out of interest what is the point of riding one of these on the street?

only costs about the same as a moped right? no petrol, fun to ride, so why not?

You see people riding around on DH bikes, which are obviously awkward and slow on the street. And they all cost a few grand right?

  • Pajamas, you are a very scary man.

Nikki, for the love of fuck sake stay away from this man when you come to London. Some have said that he is a rapist.

he sent me a pm of his willy. :o

    its a mean machine :P

  • Hello to everyone.
I have been riding my fixed wheel conversion for about 4 months now. I've recently slipped a tri spoke on the front so I can get more hipster points, but until I sell my used celebrity tampon collection on ebay I will have to make do with this frame. Private message me if you're interested.

  • Let's not throw a tantrum eh....you're old enough to be her dad anyway! ;)

Scott, I was only joshing as per, no tantrum involved despite the misleading punctuation.

And though I'm certainly not Nikki's age, I'm only old enough to be her father where you come from, with its high incidence of underage parenting. ;D ;D

If it's true the only thing that's been violated in recent memory is a set of table napkins.

I can't believe a nice comment about someone's forehead gets me so much stick. In Charlotte Bronte's time it was very much "foreheads out for the lads", kind of like a pair of bazoomers in Croydon nowadays.

    God, this century.

  • Pajamas, with all due respect, how well do you know me?
Surely me mocking you in a public forum is as close to "nice" as I ever get. Nothing is sacred. Ever.

  • sorry I'm going to have to start putting winky smileys after all I say.

I didn't think it would ever get to this but..Object.....you are a..... no.. can't... say it..

  • at this rate i think i'll be staying away from all of you if i ever go there :P just kidding of course. YALL seem very cool.

  • Well done! We've got her fooled. Now to really lure her in ;)

Grow a back bone. You could always just post my avatar. Says it all there.

  • It's not a great photo, but will have to do until I get some charge into my camera (takes weeks)

  • did someone graft your face onto a chav?

  • Here mate, c'mere an I'll slash yer, y'ken me?

  • Hi Nikki,

Is that a Nishiki you have? Looks a lot like my old one.

oh fuck off. and maybe see you tonight.

  • Yay. Pajamas finally grew a pair :]

Not sure what's happening tonight. If not I'll no doubt see you tomorrow night though.

  • Clutching slippery bars will make your hands and forearms a lot more tired a lot more quickly. Plus in really wet weather they are really slippery, even with gloves, as you note. Putting tape on the bars means that you can have a secure grip without clutching so hard.

You tend to notice the difference over any real distance, or during hard sprints.

Agreed - I've always been under the impression that it's not that difficult riding tapeless bars in their proper setting (i.e. a velodrome) since the majority are indoors and it doesn't tend to rain in there. End of slippery problem. Take them on the street and you're just asking for trouble. Maybe you really, really want to replicate that Keirin look, but how about letting common sense get a look in every once in a while?

A suggestion - stop talking about ENI as if she's not in the room?

    Point taken...

  • Hi Nikki,

    nope, Shogun : )

Natural Ice is my beer of choice Stateside. Good effort! It's the only one with any decent volume of alcohol in it.
