Built for track master Dave Le Grys by Geoff Roberts, Chas' younger brother. This is just a preliminary build stealing parts off my other bikes to get it on the road.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3016/2600668926_4e09cc17f2_o.jpg'S funny - until a couple of weeks ago this was buried deep in my Bat Cave here in the mountains of North Wales - noticed that you used the word "stealing" in your description so I assume you know what it means - worst of all it disappeared on Fathers' Day

cheers dale. i don't buy too much, just what i need, alex is a different story tho, besides this was a good deal of me dad.
Right. So if I'm following things, your son stole it from you. That's OK then. Nothing wrong with a bit of light-hearted thievery among blood relatives.

You could always report your son to the police. Shopping one's children seems to be the latest media craze. Not only will you get the frame back, you'll get to meet Phillip and Fern too.

Given that option it might have to be an early birthday present - but given the frame's provenance (
Greasy DaveDave Le Grys) it might have to be a Christmas present as well, and the birthday after that, for some time actually. Have you checked out Dave Le Grys on u-tube?Anyway I don't suppose the police or Phillip and Fern would be able to stop his other crime, practising skip stops on my bike when he turns up at Technical Towers.

I'm with you soweto. I wish my dad was in to bikes. Or art. Or any kind of musical instrument. It would have made my life so far so much easier (and a damn site cheaper too).
I guess I now have all of these interests for my future children... and i bet they won't give 3 shits and will be in to hover-ball or some other futuristic thing that hasn't been invented yet, and lament the fact that I'm a creative type and not an accountant or something!

Raleigh is now in the shed (for sale!) - finally got the BB so I could properly put the cranks on this. Still having a few chainline problems but we'll get that sorted in time.
Lovely, lovely ride - it's like a dream come true. Have spent half the morning when I was supposed to be working practising no-handed trackstands.
Might have to trade in the Chorus doubles for a proper track crank - does anyone reckon that'll solve my chainline issues? At the moment I'm running the chainring on the small ring, but it's not entirely aesthetically pleasing...

Be careful what you wish for ASM, my dad regularly buys and learns to play the most painful sounding instruments in the world. He's done bagpipes, various accordians / squeezeboxes, random late medieval horn things, along with the usual piano, guitar etc. I'm saving up to buy him a sound proofed shed so my mum can get some peace and quiet.
Anyway, shouldn't be posting this yet, cos there's still some adjustments to make before it's finished, but I can't resist. The new bike as of yesterday.
Sadly my face hasn't improved, so here's my legs.

Sadly, I can't take the credit for building it - its a cyclescheme thing - so the lovely people at Cavendish get all the kudos. A few bits and bobs on it from people off here though. I might amend the decals, so it says "Well Jackson". Never seen RJS's bike, but i think mine'll look like the young child of BRM's. It's a massive hike up in gear inches to the Joe Waugh, so I've just booked another physio appointment to get my achilles seen to again.
Murtle - I've got an evening meeting this thursday, so cannae make West drinks. Next week! He says, optimistically.
what's on the wheels? tin foil?
