I was a patrol captain in school. (traffic safety)
This happened because I was sick the day they chose one.

My northern state school had prefects. So did the one in Educating Yorkshire.

We got different colour ties and had to stop people from walking the wrong way down certain corridors and we got to work in the little shop the school had selling chocolate and crisps.

It were different when I were a lad.

Lol. Yeah - respect is given where respect is due. Truthfully I have a great amount of respect for teachers just because of the amount of stress they might receive from some the not so responsible students. It's sometimes ironic that some teachers actually care more about their student's GCSE's than the student themselves.

Plus the amount of work they have to mark is almost exponential. Still you'll need to love teaching because the money isn't always worth the amount of work. Which is why I will never be a teacher - I despise little kids (even teenagers, sorry ollie - you cool)
