I do have clipless but I'm just getting used to riding fixed, taking it nice and easy away from the traffic!
I quite fancy these but don't seem to have them in the UK, any ideas?
Got some power grips but they just look so shit

If you do have clipless, I suggest riding with them, especially when (from the sound of it) you're already used to it.
Perfectly understandable that you want to get used to riding a fixed wheel bicycles.
check the list for any queries you have in mind and/or search the forum for any specific topic you want to find.

Hello there,
Been on these forums for a while now but thought It's time to formally introduce myself.
This is me, on the right;
This is my steed, pretty much my perfect bike now, this Charge has gone through so many changes but I'm now happy with it, now have a lower gear ratio for winter.

This is my Colnago Technos, bought new in 1996.
Anyone who tells me this is 'just a bike' is going to get a good hard virtual slap.My face remains the same mish-mash of ill-assorted parts.
first time I've seen this:
Lovely work!

Such a lovely bike, Will is putting it back together in it's geared glory.
Think it's the same one that he been couriering in with wrapped inner tube.
-
• #10943
Yes, about 15 or 16 tubes covered the whole frame. Oddly they really affected the feel of it too; damped the ride somewhat. Hopefully it will be back up and running in the New Year.
-
• #10944
Do they really? it does make sense in some degree, the steel frame absord the road, (the 'ting' feel when you hit a small obstacle), so wrapping the frame in used inner tube soften it.
Does it feel worse or better? (tube-covered frame).
-
• #10945
Worse; not to mention the several extra pounds weight. Colnagos are not at their best when ridden wrapped in thick black rubber. Unlike myself.

I heard you, I set mine up more like a randonneur and it handle a bit hit-or-miss, they're at it's best in full racing glory.
