• Tempted to find their most expensive item and try message them about buying it but then say I've bought it elsewhere before they can reply.

    Muhahaha!

  • Not worth the bother. I can get the stuff from SJS or Triton.

  • Yeah, why would you buy from verified CuntSellers (tm)

  • return over , cunt buyer never returned goods, thanks for the advice all

  • No partial refund/contribution to import duty?

  • Once I went to buy a jersey from a seller, they refused the lowball offer (it was overpriced vintage wool one I think). Received a snotty message back and was blocked from even replying to them. Same thing, couldn't put a further offer or purchase.

I guess thats the 'power' in powerseller.

  • Nothing , buyer did not respond to offer of full refund bar customs on receipt of full bike

  • Pleased to hear it!

  • thanks , i am now hoping to get the defamation dealt with

  • Is anyone else getting certificate errors when trying to buy stuff (mostly when directed towards pay.ebay.co.uk)

    NET::ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED

The server presented a certificate that was not publicly disclosed using the Certificate Transparency policy. This is a requirement for some certificates, to ensure that they are trustworthy and protect against attackers.

  • Things have moved on a bit from the last time I did any gaming (Sega Master System) and seems games now need registering/authenticating. Who knew? Everyone probably.

The serial number on the copy of Need for Speed I just bought off ebay is rejected as it's been used.

Return postage will cost me the larger part of the purchase cost so looks like I just learned an expensive lesson eh?

  • If you need to register to use it and you can't, then that's grounds for a return isn't it?

I'm assuming it was sold as "used/working", which it isn't without a valid serial number.

Send it back, having ripped an ISO (and done a shit in the box).

  • Comment withdrawn because the seller turned out to be honest and very nice.

  • Swap it for something else at a Cex store?

  • If it's only a fiver, explain what's wrong with it and ask for a full refund, stating that it's not worth any more of your time and money to return it. Worked for me with a couple of dodgy low-value items.

  • I sent the seller a message explaining the situation, expecting no response and what do you know, they got back to me, apologised and have refunded me.

    Faith in humanity restored!

I'm a bit gutted though, the sale has been cancelled so I can't even leave the seller a positive feedback which I would have liked to have done.

  • Sold a bike on eBay the other day and am having trouble with the buyer, firstly they opened a case complaining it hadn't arrived despite it being tracked and signed for which they eventually reneged on,
Then another request is open as apparently the bearings on the rear wheel are fucked (they weren't) and a bolt on for the crank was missing (it wasn't), but I attempted to be nice and offered to refund to the tune of the mystery bolt (£20) which in messages was accepted, but then when I offered the partial refund we had agreed upon, he declined and is now demanding £70...

Shall I just leave this to play out and hope eBay see that he's wasting my time or just accept a return and pay him if/when it arrives?

  • I would say take it back and refund. Cunt buyer is a cunt buyer.

  • Has anyone had a problem with USPS tracking? Seller supposedly sent a package on 13th December, however since then the tracking had only said "pre delivery info sent to USPS." It goes on to say it doesn't indicate receipt of the parcel by USPS, but seller has said he dropped off at counter. He's a reputable gentleman so I do believe him. I'm just a tad unnerved about a frame that appears to be in lingo somewhere across the pond. Emailed them but got an automated response explaining the rise in demand for the postal service due to the holiday season, like I didn't already know that. Pls halp.

  • Your 'contract' is with the seller not the courier. Let him chase them up, possibly easier for him if they are in same country anyway?

  • This clown is back, 3rd time he's recycled images from this ancient ebay listing of mine. He seems pretty basic. Rude pr*ck, plus 0 feedback. I wouldn't risk it..

  • Lol no.

I checked my settings and it blocks people with 2 or more unpaid cases in 12 months. Not sure how you can do that any way other than deliberately.

  • Needed a +20mm post mount to post mount adapter fro my mtb so bought the cheapestone available on ebay and guess what, it doesn't fit.

I know it's my fault for buying the cheapest one but seriously, how do you fuck up making a bit of metal with 4 holes in it?

Return postage is gonna cost me the majority of the sale price so I'm just gonna keep it and retain the ability to leave negative feedback.

    TLDR: Buy cheap, buy twice.

  • Just looked at seller's feedback rating, 393 negative feedback rating this month alone but still got a 99% positive rating. WTF.

Edit: They're a 'Power Seller' so I can't leave negative feedback until 7 days after the sale. I take it that means they sell a power of shite or something?
